We just had a 4 night stay over new year in one of the shepherd huts. It was fantastic. The facilities were great, we were provided with towels, fairy liquid, hand soap, shampoo and a lovey complementary bottle of wine. The only two things that were missing were a dustpan and the bathroom could do with a small heater as it’s a very cold room, but his will not stop us from returning again soon.

User

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay ...great location bus stop on doorstep into Edinburgh...very quiet even tho full & a large site...the food in the stable bar was excellent...we will be back

User

The best caravan park in Scotland. We had a great time and for sure we will come back.

User

Stayed one night with 3 kids. Great flat pitches for tents and great facilities plenty of toilet and shower blocks. Great site for camping and touring will defo be back and the play Park was a bonus

User

Me and my Girlfriend were at the caravan park at the weekend, we spent the Friday and Saturday night.

It was the first time staying there and loved it.

We were in a Wigwam, the toilets/showers the Wigwam and the park itself was spotless.

We will be booking again very soon.

User

Great weekend for the first night of the Edinburgh tattoo. Lovely site and loved the resident highland cows stayed in one of the wigwam pods

User

Great site, great surroundings, ideal location with just a short ride on bus to Edinburgh, stables bar served lovely food, staff friendly helpful and knowledgable of the area, well stocked shop and good shower blocks, will definitely be back!

User

Great site with good facilities and within easy reach of Edinburgh, unfortunately had my bike stolen from here last night cannondale F15 mountain bike was chained up round a tree with in 10ft from my caravan thieving scum cut the chains 2 of them and made of with it left the cheaper of the two bikes though, so beware if you are taking bikes make sure they are well secured. Staff were helpful and called police about it but im still waiting for the Police to call me back.

User

Excellent site very good facilities, great bar and restaurant. Shop camping supplies and groceries competitively priced

User

Brilliant campsite. Has all the amenities you could wish for and very clean. Nice big Caravan pitches. Excellent toulets, showers and disposal facilities. Stayed 20-23 Aug 2018

User

Absolutely myself hubby & kids love this park. Have been going for years and stay in a holiday home. Spacious caravan. 2 toilets and large tv/dvd plus tv in one of the bedrooms. Caravan immaculate & modern. Best caravan stayed in in Scotland. Check in quick n easy. Good convenience store. 2 parks for kids to play and lovely trail walks to see horses and highland cows. Plenty park space for kids to ride there bikes and play football. The only negative is twice in the past we have went for a meal at the stable bar. Poor service and we didn't enjoy our meal. Chinese and takeaways 1 min drive from the park so we use that or take or own food with us. Definitely will be back.

User

2nd time we have stayed at Morton Hall, we are definitely booking again next year!

The breakfast snack bar and the staff there are perfect! The tent pitches are spacious.

The toilets were very well maintained, with extra cleaning whenever it rained (gotta love Edinburgh!)

The staff at reception are really very helpful. The Stable bar is so cosy and welcoming. Also the night porters are very alert and made sure we were back in our tents okay (if we'd had a few!) which they really did not have to do!

There is a regular bus that runs 24/7 directly outside the campsite, which made our fringe experience so care free!

User

1st time and it certainly won't be the last. Great facilities even now in the dead of winter. Excellent location with a short hop on the bus to Edinburgh right from the front gate. Can't recommend it enough.

User

Lovely park, friendly staff, clean shower blocks, although some music is needed !!! Kids flooding the place today with water guns , banging on shower doors . nice wee shop, our tent was on a slope hill so we never slept the 2 nights.

But would come back to different area of site.

User

I must say this is a lovely site. The facilities are excellent and very clean, plus good access to Edinburgh. So many good point. My disappointment is due to me initially booking a Tent pitch, then I purchased a Caravan. So I called the site (a couple of times) to see if I could move to a Caravan pitch or use my current pitch for the Caravan. I was told that all caravan pitches were already booked and that tents and caravans were in different areas. So I turn up with my tent to see tents and caravans mixed all over the campsite and even where my pitch is allocated there was a mix of motorhomes, caravans and tents. I can't fathom why they rejected my request. The weather has been pretty bad and a stay in the caravan would have made it a lot more enjoyable. Probably leaving a day earlier than planned as the wind and rain staying in a tent has taken the edge off a few day at the Fringe Festival.

User

just stayed there for the first time stable bar was great food fantastic site lovely but toilet blocks were shocking people not flushing after use no hot water for the shower the smell from the drains Was tank

User

This time last year was our first visit and we were happy with facilities cleanliness etc . Then a couple of nights late Summer. All good.

Just back from here last night and have to say it wasn't good stayed one night instead of the three we paid for.

The premium (joke) pitch in field 3 was totally waterlogged it was like a mud bath. The pitch itself was barely wide enough for the van never mind the awning which was rendered useless by the amount of water and mud soaking up through the bottom.

Used the shower facilities closest to pitch so not the main block we had previously used and the shower floor etc was not clean I kept my shoes on and when I moved the rubber matting to skoosh excess water down drain when I was finished I nearly boaked at the amount of hair and muck underneath.

We won't be back. Really disappointed as we had no previous complaints and of the location is perfect.

The weather you can do nothing about but a warning about the dismal conditions in the field would have been appreciated and we would have had the option to go elsewhere.

User

The cb to my motorhome kept tripping, no fault on my van. Reported it, nothing happened, came back to find nothing had been done, Got home and have now double checked my van, no faults, it is sat there quite happy plugged into my system, so I spent 2 nights freezing.

User

Thought I booked a space for my touring caravan as the booking site took my money . Only to be phoned 14hrs later to say it was full and it was MY fault and I should have read the email properly. Then as I was voicing my disappointment she hung up . Now they refuse to give me management contact number and 24hrs later still have my money . Weekend spoiled not a happy camper ( excuse the pun)
