We had a SUPER interesting visit on our Organic Family Farm today!!
Minister for Rural Affairs and the Natural Environment, Mairi Gougeon MSP popped in for a quick visit for an update on our mission to change Scottish Dairy . Sorry for the social media silence peeps. . A small fire in the dairy on Tuesday night caused 18 hour shifts and and plenty of problems. A massive thanks to @mcqueensdairies.co.uk for helping us to pasteurise our 100% organic milk and to Howats Services to help us get our dairy ripped out, and rebuilt again by the end of today. . The silver lining???? We took the opportunity to install new equipment that will save 300L of water, 25kw of electricity and 3 hours of processing... time PER DAY - working towards our context of full sustainability for our unique vision of Scottish Dairy. #WeAreStillFighting #MossgielFarm #Organic #Milk #TeamDairy #Farm365

Has anyone near our family farm in Mauchline lost a young cat? We found her running around our calf shed very cold and hungry.
Please let us know of any distinguishing marks and we will be happy to let her stay until collection

A worrying trend of ‘grow to survive’ is happening in Scottish dairy, where farmers squeezed by supermarkets having a ‘race to the bottom’ of milk prices have no control on how much they are paid for their cows milk; with going out of business or putting on more cows to dilute the costs sometimes being the only viable option. What can I say, love, love, love. Milk as it should be, took me back to growing up on a farm, Katie's shortbread was superb. Decent prices, great service, a pleasure talking to Amy, keep up the good work guys.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the shop at Mossgiel Farm today. Great to hear Bryce speaking enthusiastically about his dairy farm and the local produce they have on sale. Brilliant to see such enterprise and positivity when the dairy industry has been let down so badly by processors and supermarkets. We're looking forward to enjoying our non homogenised milk and Ayrshire cheese!

My 4 year old son has gone from drinking around 3 litres of milk a week to drinking 6 litres in 5 days since we started buying Mossgiel Milk and although I don't drink straight milk my coffee tastes amazing now � Wouldn't ever switch back and my weekly routine consists of a drive to Mossgiel to buy milk �

Milk is like a taste of nostalgia- just like our childhood - milk makes excellent scones too - just like my grannies. Daughters love milk also and I feel they are tasting milk just the way it should taste - wholesome

AMAZING!!!! Service was outstanding, produce was amazingly fresh and much more palatable! And I couldn't believe how much I got for my money!!

I drink milk by the gallon and only just tried Mossgiel milk the other day and loved it, by far the best I've had I now have my mum and my wee gran who pretty much survives off of milk drinking it too! This is just the next village to us so a perfect stop off on the road home from work. I think these guys and their Mossgiel girls are fabulous it's amazing what they are doing and we should all be buying local to support these businesses right on our doorstep and to be able to eat fresh, top quality produce! I can't wait to try all their other goodies they have available as well #VocalAboutLocal #FamilyFarming

I bought a fillet of the rose veal and a couple of the rib eye steaks. The meat was amazing, so tender and flavoursome. Its the best rose veal we have tasted. I will definitely be back for more. Well done on producing such a fantastic local product.

Bought two cartons of your milk yesterday. What a blast from the past - milk the way it used to taste. I sat it side by side with a regular carton of milk and the difference in colour was so evident. My 18 month old grandson loved it - kept asking for more. We'll be back for more. Thanks so much for what you're doing.
