Beautiful place, definitely worth the visit if in the area. I really liked it As it is not just another palace with similar statues or painting ... it has it's own feeling

Glorious house with very extensive grounds, woodlands, gardens and beach. Plenty to occupy a whole day. Don't bother with Art of Power art exhibition - it's just half a dozen or so Dutch paintings.

This place is a real gem. Worth doing the tour to see inside - there is not another building like it in the country. A good place to take any foreign visitors you might have!

Interesting architecture and really nice gardens, tour guide was knowledgeable. Really liked the marble hall stained glass. Off season visits means you have to use a tour guide rather than free roaming. Disappointed that the restaurant in the visitor's centre was closed with no signs or forewarning.

The house is impressive with gorgeous art, architecture and design details. The Marble Hall and Marble Chapel are astounding, and have to be seen to be believed. The guided tour of the house is included in the admission price, which also allow to wander the vast grounds. One word of warning is to ensure you book your guided tour at the visitor centre, when getting your tickets. Our guide 'Alex' was great and very informative. Only downside was not seeing more of the house. An additional special tour, covers additional rooms and the swimming pool. But that it something to do next time, as I'm sure will visit again.

If you visit the Isle of Bute you absolutely have to visit Mount Stuart house. Beautiful grounds, knowledgeable staff. A great way to spend a spring or summer day.

I was surprised at the beauty of this place, the tour guide was really good at explaining the thought that went into building the house and I love the wood interior. I also learned it can be booked for events which I think is great.

It's got beautiful gardens and a lot of areas are dog friendly. The house itself is beautiful and there are staff in each room who are willing to tell you lots of information!
