What a brilliant service today from Abbie @ Mrs Howats. A first time cut for Theo which was fab, and a big boy hair cut for Ollie who would normally have to sit on my knee,but Abbie made him feel like such a big boy sitting on the pirate chair. He loved it!! Will defo be back. Thanks again. �

We were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked into the shop. It looks amazing! � Both girls were lovely and gave my little one sweets and juice while we waited. My little boy cried the whole time whilst getting his hair cut but the girls were very patient with him. Would highly recommend �

We had our first visit today and the place is amazing, the girls are so friendly and the decor is fab!! My son usually hates getting his hair cut but loved it today he was made to feel at ease and came away with a really cool hair style, will definitely be coming back ��

Took my son today today for the first time. What a fantastic shop, a lovely welcome and great service. The long wait was well worth it as my son loves his haircut. Thanks ladies �

Took both my boys today, So glad i did my eldest has been petrified of clippers at every barbers we have tried. Abbie had him sorted in no time! Delighted such a lovely wee place and the girls are fab! Highly recommend and will be back! x

The ladies in this place make it, big, warm smiles the minute you walk in! My daughter and I felt instantly at home in this very cool barbers. So reasonably priced and a service that is top notch! The braids are so pretty, one very happy little girl!

Posting on behalf of my sister as she doesn’t have Facebook. She had her two boy in today for the first time, aged 11 & 3. I think it was Abbie doing their hair - she is really chuffed with their hair - as are the boys! My sister was super nervous as the little one hasn’t had clippers used on his hair before. Abbie was really great with them �

My son usually gets so upset getting his hair cut anywhere else so I tried here yesterday and it was delightful had a bit of a wait but it was so worth it as they are amazing at what they do. My son did get a little upset but nowhere near as bad as before. Will definitely be bringing him back for his next haircut �

My son is so scared about getting hair cut and cry’s every time Abby was lovely with him and she had so much patience and even had him laughing he walk out the shop and said he will go back to that lady thanks very much

My husband was in Dumfries on Friday from Edinburgh and nipped into Mrs Howats Barbers for a haircut , He said it was the best hair cut he has had , very impressed and said that he will definitely be back , now the kids want there hair done so looks like another trip home to dumfries is on the cards soon �

My husband and son go for their haircuts and I cannot fault the service and the cuts. My husbands hair is the nicest is been in a while and my Little boys is just so cute. Great wee barbers �

My first visit. Definitely be a regular from now on. Im your typical bloke who has the same short back and sides for that past 10 years. Now sporting a fade. Top job by Cole on the cut and Abbie on the fade persuasion �

I would highly recommend to anyone with special needs children my son is not good at getting his hair done and Abbie made him feel so safe and welcome big thanks Abbie u have ur self a new regular he can’t wait 2 come in tomorrow again for his hair done

First visit to Mrs Howat's for my son today, we were barely out the door before he said he'll definitely be back and how much he loved his new haircut! Highly recommend this lovely wee barber shop and the girls are lovely and friendly too!

First time visiting today. My son (10) was very nervous as he doesn’t like a change of routine and got a little upset but Abbie was just fantastic with him! He is loving his cool hair and I am no longer allowed to cut it � Thank you we will be back!

First time in yesterday and shop was very busy, Abbie did an amazing job keeping the kids busy on the mirror and supplying lollies whilst getting through many cuts! Kids have both said how much they liked “the lady” and don’t want to go anywhere else to have their hair cut! Very happy customers, thanks �

Brilliant patient helpful and very good at the job . Had my first undercut today love it . My son even wanted his hair cut too after watching too :) highly recommend .

Absolutely amazing with my little boy who was having his first haircut and he’s only 18 months . Abby made him feel very comfortable and he got to play in the wee car they have to help them cut babies hair. He even got a wee envelope with his first curls in’ � Great wee hair cut and very reasonable price! Wil deff be using this pair as Harley’s regular hairdresser � very happy customers!! Xxx
