Wow! Visited for the first time yesterday with some friends from college. Had afternoon tea...AMAZING! The staff, the feel/look of the place, the food. The quality of the food and the value for money...Can’t fault anything about it. I will definitely be back.

Went to Mrs Howats for afternoon tea with my daughter and sisters and it was amazing. Such a good price for what you get and everything was so tasty. We’ll be back, would highly recommend � xxx

Went here on Saturday with my kids. They loved the choices on the menu and I had an excited boy that loved his smiley faces with his hot dog. I had the macaroni and it was lovely I will definitely be coming back to try something different next food was so yummy

Visited today with a friend and ordered some tea and scones, both were lovely! Staff very friendly and polite and a great atmosphere! Very busy which is great to see in this small town! Will definitely return �.

Visited today after winning a competition for lunch for 2. It was absolutely beautiful, big portions, very tasty. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The pantry itself it’s really lovely inside. My daughter had the child’s afternoon tea, excellent value for money, sandwich, crisps, chocolate cake and half a scone as well as a drink for £4.90. Will definitely be back. Thanks very much!

Visited a couple of weeks back with my mum and my wee girl. It was amazing!! Food was fresh, and tasty. Good selection, and the staff were really friendly. We were apologised to for the wait - which to be honest I didn't think there was lol � looking forward to my next visit. X

Took my very fussy husband.for breakfast today, He's not found a breakfast he likes in the town, apparently we are allowed back, breakfast was amazing and no grease at all, will definitely be back

My daughter had her 8th birthday tea. The staff were amazing and really went out there way to cater for them. The food and choice for the girls was superb, Lovely atmosphere.

Mrs Howats is a fab place to eat in town! The afternoon tea is always my favourite and the food is always fresh and you can tell it’s good ingredients they use! All staff are very friendly - especially Louisa she always has a smile on her face! Great place to meet up with friends! Never rush you out even when your finished! Which is great as us girls can surely talk! You need to get the cheesecake! Even if your too full get some boxed up to go! You won’t regret it

I was here about a month ago, with a friend. Was lovely food and you serve one of my favorite drinks, Fentamins Curiosity cola. I would of had dessert, but I had given up cakes and biscuits for lent. I will be back again sometime and I hope to try out one of your desserts while I am in. Also been gutted to not be able to get one of your Easter egg cheesecakes to try.

I just had a breakfast from here it was beautiful. Staff were friendly, food is reasonably priced and the place is lovely inside. I will definitely be back.

I asked for a huge favour from Cassie and Stefan to help reward my boy who has not been having the best time of late. Not only did they produce an amazing egg they gave it to him as a gift and won’t let me pay! Special people who go the eggstra � mile. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Happy Easter to all. ��

Hired for a hen do and it was absolutely fantastic. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Would highly recommend.

Had breakfast here this morning with 2 of my kids. Was absolutely amazing! Food was perfectly cooked, staff were super friendly and surroundings are beautiful! I can’t wait to come back �

First visit on Saturday and I couldn't have been more impressed! The atmosphere was lovely, staff were great and the food was to die for! The desserts were so good we had to take them home to finish them! Beautiful wee gem of a place.

Came in today for the first time after hearing great reviews & i have to say we were not disappointed. Lovely & clean environment. The food was delicious and well worth the wait (we came at a busy period). The staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. Will definately be back.

Been meaning to try here for ages, went in for late lunch today and very glad we did. Service was super quick and friendly and the food was all perfect, even the coffee was beautiful. Would give it more stars if I could, will defo be back to try more of the menu
