Muckrach Country House Hotel

Beautiful decor, fantastic surroundings. Excellent service with great food. Friendly staff. A great place to stop, close to the historic town of Grantown on Spey.

I can't wait to stay here - this review is about the dining experience. Quality food & drink at very reasonable prices. Service was okay - nice people, just too few of them so slightly overworked. Otherwise the place oozes quality...

Very nice place, good food, qualified and polite staff. At 7pm a lonely piper will play in the garden of the hotel.

the only question I have is to myself - why didn't I come here earlier? First time we visited, we had the most sublime scones that I have EVER tasted. Don't lose that baker!
This time we came back to try the lunch and we were certainly not disappointed. We will be back to try something different.

Delicious two or three course menu in the restaurant and very reasonably priced given the quality of the food, location and service.

We stopped here for a couple of drinks on the way home from a long walk around Loch Morleich. The building is beautiful, the gin is delicious and Archie, the resident Highland cow was delightful. He's the second oldest Highland cow in the Highlands!

Great old building with modern touches. Bed was very comfortable, the service was a little slow in restaurant at times but overall a great experience.

This was a lovely hotel. The lady in check in was really friendly. We dined in the restaurant, for dinner and breakfast and both were superb! Definitely a place I would go again.
