Great visit to the grotto and for the evening buffet. The level of detail you go to makes the grotto even more special for the kids from the pre-visit info sheet down to the elves. The elf working in the waiting area was great with our little one tonight while we waited as well. We also loved the buffet, great selection of hot and cold items. Worth every penny! Thanks again.

User

What an absolutely amazing time we had at Lilly’s 4th birthday party at muddy boots! Everyone at the party commented on how great it was having 2 members of staff take children around doing games with them & exploring lots! They were so good with the children & especially with my little girl making her feel like a proper party princess for that please thank them so so much. Very good value for money getting party food, party hut especially for us, the full use of the outdoors & inside soft play & free play anywhere we wanted after the party. We had an ice cream birthday cake so the staff offered cupcakes instead of ice cream for the children’s sweet treat which they didn’t need to do . the weather deffo helped making it easy to get full use of all areas to offer. We already loved muddy boots & have been season pass holders last 2 years but they couldn’t have done anything better for our princesses party on Sunday. Staff in the shop were very friendly & polite & also offered to store our ice cream cake in the freezer & fetch it for us later on. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you thank you thank you from a very happy mummy & daddy & a very excited 4 year old!

User

What a fantastic place to have a birthday party!! All of the staff couldn’t have been more attentive, friendly and helpful. We had two fantastic party hosts that ran the whole event, kept the children entertained and had loads of fun with them!! They even helped take the kids shoes off and carried their coats etc. The food was great too and the party bags great value for money. Thank you so much for making our 6 year olds party the best ever!

We were lucky enough to get a meeting with Santa on Saturday afternoon. A fantastic afternoon tea followed that. The whole experience was amazing. The level of detail and effort gone into by Muddy Boots to ensure the kids saw “the real Santa” was unbelievable. Beautiful grotto and the family responsible for Muddy Boots are just lovely. My kids are three and four and they went out of their way to put my youngest at ease. Santa threw a ball back and forth to her and next thing she was getting her photo taken. The last point is the afternoon tea. The food is always wonderful and this was no different. In a hugely busy and fairly stressful environment the lovely staff produced food to perfection, no waiting time and then boxed our leftovers without us even asking. We will definitely be back next year. The best Santa visit we have had.

User

This is a wonderful facility for the people in the area. We are from Ayrshire ourselves and today was our 4th visit in 6 years, and with each visit we have seen it slowly change and develop into a place of great fun, particularly with the recent changes to the softplay area. Ongoing work outside too provides a lovely setting for the drier months as well as the lovely shop and tearoom selling delightful food (to eat or take home). Clean facilities and friendly staff make it a gem of a place.

User

Thanks so much to everyone at muddy boots today. The breakfast was great, then the grotto was amazing. My kids are 6 and 7 and this is the first time I’ve shed a tear of happiness at a grotto, it was emotional . Santa knew all about annie and iain, their lives, their dog, their behaviour.....they were absolutely convinced he was real....which he is. Such a wonderful and magical experience that we’ll never forget. Thanks so much xxx

Thank you for an excellent end of term trip for Newcastle Nursery.... Loved having the wee mud hut where we were able to store our stuff and return to for lunch etc... Thank you to the young man who took us to see the pigs and the goats very informative but kept it light as well.. Just right for nursery age children.. Special thanks to the ladies inside the Coop who were so patient as 30 children chose their ice-cream. All in all we had a fantastic day... Would highly recommend for a group day trip. We'll done guys. Keep up the good work

Our son had his 6th birthday party at Muddy Boots yesterday. What a fantastic time he had. The staff were amazing with the kids, the set up was perfect in every way.

The food package was definitely value for money (I think I scoffed half of the top hats) The kids loved the ice lollies at the end.

We also really liked the fact that the kids could stay and play on the outdoor activities after the party had finished.

The sun was shining and our son said it was “the best day of his life” haha.

The venue has just got so much better this year with the water slide and additional activities.

Huge well done to all involved. Definite 5 *

Had the pleasure of taking the kids on the new slip and slide here today and what a lot of fun we all had regardless of age, a 3 year old two 7 year olds and this 33 year old had such a laugh. Get your session booked

Arranged a surprise brunch Saturday 28th April, for my friend that's relocating to Hong Kong, Sharon and Patty helped arrange this and I'm so grateful!! Food was delicious and children enjoyed play barn and outdoor area, the work being carried out is looking good and we'll definitely be returning xx

Visited for the first time today with my daughter. She had a fantastic time, and is asking when she can next go back. Despite there being building work going on (which we knew about by reading the website and Facebook page - the diggers provided some entertainment too!) there was still plenty to keep the kids entertained, as imagination also goes a long way. My daughter went on all the activities she could but loved the "bouncy castle" the most. We came later in the day, so only got a few hours, but will arrive earlier next time.

Having read the signs today that were put up informing us of what was going on and what is to come, can't wait to visit again in May. :) (That's why I can't give it five stars today, saving them for my next visit )

User

Great for being outdoors all day . Kids loved it obviously. Soft play a huge hit but down side for me was not enough animals . We spent a bit of time with the lovely goats at main entrance they were fab. But seriously would have loved to c more animals . We spend all of our free time looking for places with farm animals . But fifteen pounds for kids to just play in the sand/ bouncy cushions and use the soft play area for a Few hours bit steep as I only spectated really! And what they did do we could have done a bit cheaper or free elsewhere . So much potential and we will be back I'm sure of it. still a lovely place

Great day out my son loved it & its a place were you can make a whole day of it. Water slide was fun & the piggies r awesome even though they didnt want ro race that day , still lovely to see them. Will be going again so recommend it to anyone

User

Fantastic day, kids loved it all.

The giant water slide was amazing and well worth the £6 extra.

The only issue I have is the decking area at the water slide. There’s a step that isn’t marked at all and I fell down it as I didn’t see it, my daughter also tripped on it and hurt her ankle!

Think you need to look at marking or painting the step down as it’s invisible and a hazard.

User

Was very dissapointed in the pricing system why charge for over 60s when most of them are just there to keep an eye on grandkids . Went to carnie maze and they didn’t charge. Is muddy boots not making enough money that they have to charge £2.50 for over 60s .
