Well, it's freezing cold outside but pop by MUMS and you can indulge a little in our gluten free Wednesday with our GF shepherds pie and our new GF beer Vagabond by Brewdog, a GF beer that actually tastes like a beer for a change!

Don't panic, don't panic, MUMS will still be open despite the snow, so come take shelter, grab a warm cup of tea or soup and a plate of sausage & mash and warm your hands by our fire!

Ach indeedy, this Thursday the 25th of January is bonnie, bonnie Burns Night and to celebrate warm yer hearts and yer hands at MUMS and enjoy our national dish the Haggis!
Enjoy it in traditional style or our newfangled, specially created for the day, Haggis Burger (glorious beef burger, topped with Haggis & smoked cheese). A complimentary dram of Malt Whisky will be included and to top of the whole experience, indulge your soul with that classic Scottish dessert - Cranachan & Shortbread.

Oh my, it's a new year and it's that time of the year when we all feel just a teensy bit blue! We know to expect it each year, we always say we're not going to give in to it, but yet we just can't help getting that slight 'after party feeling.' But, cheer up chucks, pop round to MUMS and we'll do our best to chase those blues away, whether it's just a hot chocolate, or glorious sausage & mash, let's get 2018 rolling together X

Calling all great comfort food fans, MUMS festive menu starts tomorrow, and here's a sneaky peaky of a few stars of the show.
Turkey & Gammon Pie, two beautiful Sundaes, The Funfair Sundae (bubble gum, candy floss & salted popcorn ice cream with raspberry sauce & topped with cream) and our seasonal regular Frosty's Revenge is back (whiskey soaked gingerbread sundae).
We have glorious seasonal sausages (all gluten free) Rudolphs Revenge is a beautiful spicy pork and Pork & Spi...ced Christmas Herb to name a few, and our seasonal mash is Cranberry.
There are individual Christmas Puddings (gluten free) and 200ml bottles of Prosecco available throughout the season.
So drop by MUMS this Christmas for glorious festive comfort food.

Welcome to the Festival dear friends, yes, it's that crazy time of year in beautiful Edinburgh, and don't we love it!
Obviously this is a very busy time of year in the city so you are going to discover a queue outside MUMS door, we're afraid this cannot be avoided, and we appreciate that some people find it frustrating we don't accept bookings, however it is the fairest way for everyone to enjoy MUMS.
Most people have shows to get to, so the tables do vacate much quicker th...is time of year, and our team do their absolute utmost to seat everyone as quickly as possible, so please be kind to them!

Well, the time draws near, Edinburgh is looking beautiful & MUMS will be serving great comfort food to all hungry revellers into and beyond the new year, for the moment however all that's left for us is to wish all our beautiful customers, wherever you may be this new year, the most happiest and glorious of times - Bonne Année, Feliz Año Nuevo, Felice Anno Nuovo, Frohes Neues Jahr.........Happy New Year to all our customers here and across the globe X

Well, only a few days left to sit back, relax and let someone else do the cooking, so take advantage of MUMS, can we tempt you to a little Orange & Marmalade Brioche Bread & Butter Pudding?!
Lovely people, MUMS will be closed as per our custom on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day so our glorious team can enjoy a lovely rest, but we'll be back open for business on December 27th and open all the way through and beyond into 2017, in the meantime may we wish all our lovely guests a very Merry Christmas!

no one wants to be working on easter but the staff here made us feel so welcome as soon as we walked in. absolutely class.

Well where do I start? There was 11 of us for lunch today and nothing was any bother for the fabulous staff. The food was AMAZING - huge portions of home cooked food with REAL chips. There were clean plates all round. The staff were very efficient and very very friendly it was obvious they enjoyed their work 😀 I for one will be back and would highly recommend it!!

Keep up the great work guys 😀

We came here to have our kids taste original Scottish food like Haggis, etc and they loved it! We even had to have deserts! Not to mention the staff who was friendly, funny and always helpful!

We ate there 4 times during our visit from New Jersey. When you find something good, stick with it! Great food, staff and classic rock....and the only place that made me iced tea! We will miss Mums!

The best burger & chips I’ve ever had! Lovely homely atmosphere too! Thoroughly recommend! We’ll be back!

I wish I could give it more stars. The food at breakfast was so delicious, and the service so impeccable, that we came back for dinner the same night. My 12-year old son is a notoriously picky eater, and he’s cited MUMS as a highlight of our family vacation. The sausage and mash dish was the absolute best meal I’ve had in the UK.

I just spent three days coming in here whilst my little girl was at the sick kids. It has been fantastic - warm welcome, cosy place, fantastic gluten free food, lovely people. Thank you so much for giving me a home from home during a difficult time. I will be back !

I got the MUMS breakfast and it was super tasty. I know they’re known for comfort food, but their breakfast is fantastic as well. I think I’ll go back for dinner to try some of their other amazing looking food.

Great staff, lovely food, my husband has been raving about it since last night when we were there. Haggis, whisky cider, brioche bread and butter pudding - all very nice. We will be back :-)

Best food eaten in Edinburgh, where you can eat typical Scottish dishes and much more, at great prices. The staff really friendly and kind to everyone, in particular we were served by Luana who treated us really well.

As a Coeliac, my trips away always focus on gluten free food and MUMS came up top of that list. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. The lovely waitress checked everything I ordered to make sure it was safe for me and I had no bad reactions. If we lived closer, we would be here every week!

Absolutely wonderful food, staff, prices, atmosphere, style. Will happily come back again and again. We had such a great time, thank you

A fun place for a meal, but the staff are serious about presenting delicious food and drink. This is a “can’t miss” stop anytime I’m in town. Long live Mum’s!
