Great menu of homemade classic favourites, a huge selection of homemade cakes whilst surrounded by a collection of T pots, urns and Knickknacks where proud to have no WiFi available "they talk to each other". A must visit and you definitely need to book!

Wonderful! My family and I stopped for lunch. Frances and Ian were delightful and very welcoming. The food was great. The puddings even better!

We visited from the states, and found the people at Southend to be so very warm and welcoming! Frances makes the most amazing "spongecakes" and the portions are enormous! This little tea room is quaint and charming, a perfect spot on a rainy Scotland day! If you get to Southend, this place is a little gem of local culture and hospitality. Don't miss it!!!

Cakes are lovely! To try with a nice tea! Waitresses were really welcoming. We stayed hours because it was rainy and they didn't complain about that.

The food is delicious. The portions are large. The service is friendly. The ambience is lovely. And did I mention that the food - especially the scones and cakes - is delicious mmmmmm.

Lovely lunch and fantastic cake. Very family friendly but you may need to book for lunch, even on a weekday!
