A great selection of properties available to rent or to buy and a great team to work with!
I have been one of their tenants for a year in a very nice apartment in the city centre of Edinburgh. I reported problems with the flat right from the start of my tenancy that were never payed any attention, due to the frankly, appalling service provided by the maintenance team of Murray and Currie.
If you ask them about the service at this time, they will inform you of people leaving, and a change of the whole team, which left me completely in the dark.
There was never one point when I was resident at Murray & Currie property, that was not having to sort out some kind of problems. I was constantly on the phone or taking days off to fix things. It seemed like Murray and Currie didn't want to know. The amount of money I spent in rent (always on time) every month is a disgrace for the service and quality I received.
After ending my tenancy, the landlord had tried to keep all my deposit because "the property was damaged". I had to raise a dispute to get my deposit back using the tenancy deposit scheme that, thanks god, they have to register by law in Scotland.
In conclusion, I feel that the service provided by Murray and Currie has been terrible. Even the checkout cleaning inspector, said to me I had done a great job cleaning before I left, and commented on how the flat was in a terrible state when I arrived.
Avoid murray and currie at all costs !! please read ALL your contract before signing , a very poor service in ways of communication and a very un helpful attitude towards tenants.... for a tenancy that ended in july I am now still waiting on my deposit (now sept.) and even that was after me emailing constantly about it , (deposit of £525) M+C have kept £325 for a cleaning company and other fees and also another £20 for some other cleaning charge , the impression and lasting impression I will have of this company is that they are out to get as much money as possible out of you .
