We got married here last summer and cannot recommend it enough!! The staff, food and venue are all just incredible (especially after the renovations!) They couldn’t have done more for us and the wedding co-ordinator and all the staff were so well organised that we knew we could just relax and enjoy the day!

User

Stayed here for one night for my birthday. Our room was lovely. We were the first to stay in it since it was refurbished. The bed was so comfortable I actually asked for details of the make! We had afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast included. My daughter has a food allergy which was catered for without any fuss or bother. She was delighted! The brasserie launched the new menu that evening. We were impressed with the new menu. Everyone enjoyed their meal. All of the dishes were served on new crockery too. The decor in the brasserie is beautiful. We will definitely be back for another stay

User

My husband and I had a lovely evening last night in the refurbished Brasserie and Bar. Wow, decor stunning - what a transformation. We were welcomed with a log fire roaring in the bar before going through to our table. The Food was amazing and the service was first class.

Luckily we live within walking distance, so we shall definately be regulars!!

Bed was so comfortable and surrounding are so peaceful we almost slept past breakfast 😂 the recent refurbishment has the place looking amazing, we really can’t wait to stay again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

User

Excellent staff, excellent food, suite we were given was fantastic. Company was great too. We'll be back. It was soooo...... good !!

User

Enjoyed a one night stay and play break and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent hotel and service. Staff were great. Lyndoch course very tight and hilly so recommended a buggy, Murrayshall course flatter and more forgiving although longer. Well worth a visit

User

Brilliant weekend with friends. We stayed in suites in external building which were a bit dated however the hotel refurb, food and restaurant staff were outstanding. Kevin, the manager was so welcoming and friendly! Hope to return again!

User

A great weekend. Particular thanks to the hotel manager who took great care of us and ensured his staff were doing the best job. Well done to all staff over a busy weekend. Great food.

User

A gift from family. An overnight stay, afternoon tea, dinner and a round of golf on the most miserable of days but what a great time we had. All the hotel staff were excellent. The room was very comfortable and dinner was exceptional. The weather wasn't their fault and we will be going back hopefully when the sun shines and it is little bit warmer. A great venue for a relaxing break. Thank you!

My husband and I were gifted with an itison Christmas present for a prosecco afternoon tea, overnight stay and breakfast.

We felt very welcome when we checked in, tho no info was given for breakfast times, checkout times or where meals were all located.

We upgraded to a superior room which was lovely, spacious and overlooking the garden area...lovely.

Little extra touches of toiletries, bottled water and shortie were lovely!

We enjoyed a meal in the brasserie...would of been nice to get another vegggie choice but the cheese and biscuits was defo worth the price! 4 different cheeses, loads of crackers, chilli jam, grapes, fruit and nuts and yummy honey!

Brekkie was excellent...fab continental choices too! I enjoyed the vegetarian platter while my husband enjoyed scrambled eggs and smoked salmon!

Staff on duty were so attentive !

Views from the hotel were exceptional! Beautiful snow capped hills!

We can’t wait to return!

I'm saddened to see a few bad reviews. I love this hotel and always stay here when in the area on business. I stayed there last night and knew when booking they were mid refurbishment. Therefore, my usual suite wasn't available. I knew this all in advance. The alternative suite was lovely. The staff as ever were very kind and attentive. It must be very difficult to manage customers in the midst of a refurb. I think it is unfair some of the comments that have been made. If you get a 'voucher' deal what do you expect. Plus always contact a hotel in advance to confirm expectation. I very much look forward to my next stay and look forward to seeing the refurbishment.

User

Great value for money! Beautiful property, good food, friendly services. Rooms is ok! The curtains need updating to match the beautiful place. I wld give 5 stars if the curtains n bathroom updated!

User

Dining staff definitely need some training in food allergies. We made it very clear there was someone with cealiac in the party but happily served him breaded prawns. Menu limited in this respect too. Nice decor and staff friendly.

User

The staff were absolutely fantastic and the food exceptionally good, we had afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast , all superb,we were also attended to excellently from the bar staff throughout the evening, so why the low rating you may ask, unfortunately the accommodation was not great we stayed in a suite outside of the main building, now the room was fine no complaints but the noise from people walking abou upstairs and the lack of sound proofing meant you could hear everything including every time they go to the toilet which is straight above your head really disgusting didn’t sleep till 0400, now the worse thing was there was completely inadequate lighting one of our party fell very badly and my wife also almost seriously hurt herself, so although the staff are really fab the accommodation that we stayed in was awful!!

User

My partner and I were gifted a voucher for an overnight stay at murrayshall house hotel. This was to include a "superior" room and a two course dinner in their "award winning" old masters restaurant. Upon arrival we were greeted by a construction site. Not what we expected from the grand country estate with a four star rating from the Scottish tourist board. After finding the makeshift reception they had set up in the club house we checked in and received our key. We were then told to wait in the bar while they prepare our room. A short while after the receptionist walked over and told us our room was ready. "up the stairs, first door on the right". The room itself was pleasant enough but far from the "superior" room we were led to believe we had. We decided to head down to the "stutts" bar for some lunch. The room was desolate and looked as though it was haphazardly thrown together at the last minute. The menu was very "pub grub" which is what you'd expect from a golf course club house. The quality of the food overall was very good which left us looking forward to our evening meal in the restaurant. I asked the waiter/bartender if we would be dining in the old masters restaurant, to which he replied "no, meals will be served in the bar". Slightly confused I then asked him if I could see an evening menu. He informed me that "they aren't ready yet". I then went through to the reception to ask if they knew anything about it. The receptionist was sitting typing the menu out on her computer, two hours before dinner service. For a four star establishment to lack the foresight to prepare a menu before guests arrive is perplexing to say the least. We arrived for dinner. We were seated in the sparse makeshift dining room. Half the tables covered with tablecloths the other half wernt. Maybe we had to pay a supplement for table cloths? The food was mediocre at best. The breakfast wasnt any better.

I cannot believe the arrogance of this place. There was no offer of apology, no explanation as to why we were mislead into believing this was to be a four star experience. Maybe if they put as much effort into organising the place as they did duping people out of money spent on vouchers to stay here there wouldn't be so many damaging complaints. It is very clear to see this establishment has opted to generate a little revenue while refurbishment work is going on by selling guests misleading packages to the detriment of their reputation. I think your business practices are very sneaky and completely abhorrent. The management should be ashamed of themselves for dragging this beautiful hotel into disrepute. I will be taking this further.

Complete farce, start to finish.
