Murrayshall House Hotel

Was very impressed with my stay, rooms lovely and warm, friendly staff and great food.

We were here last Friday ( 03.11.17) and were deeply disappointed with our room which we paid £97 for. We did make our feelings known on departure and were assured that this would be passed on. I have also emailed with regards to our room but no contact has been made from Murrayshall which is even more disappointing. If it were not for the staff and the food the whole stay would have been ruined. Unless I have a response to my email or this review I will not be back to Murrayshall nor will I be recommending it to anyone else.

Stayed in one of the fairway suites so review is based on that.
Nice scenery and location, unfortunately you don't get much of a view from the suites. Ground floor windows aren't tilt and turn so can't be left open with any feeling of security. Everyone walking past the suites can look right in to the bedroom and living room area, it felt like a fish bowl. You can hear every movement upstairs, there is no privacy.
Loose slabs, loose and cracked tiles, heavily discoloured grout, fridge took forever to barely cool a can, toilet roll not topped up, glasses weren't clean. The only positive to the suites is that it was a decent size.
Dinner on the first night was average. Dinner on the second night was a disaster, quiet night and it took 20 minutes for someone to take my order and when it finally arrived it was pub quality food - which is fine in a pub, but not in a so called 4 star 2 rosette restaurant. They have a decent selection for breakfast, the fruit salad pots are a nice touch. No mushrooms, beans or black pudding though and they still call It a full Scottish breakfast?

Located just outside of scone, easily accessible. Service is great and it's a very comfortable atmosphere. Pricing is very good for this type of establishment and the views are impressive.

Fabulous setting for a hotel - views across Perthshire, and an (so I'm told, I don't waste a good walk myself!) excellent golf course. Service is top-notch, and the food is excellent.

The location is superb with brilliant views from the room we had (No. 3) Staff were very friendly, food was very tasty if a bit on the pricey side. A nice place for a weekend treat. Recommended.

We were visiting for a wedding and then spent the night. The bar was a little on the expensive side. The bedrooms were far too warm all night. I couldn't turn off the towel heater. The shower tap had to be turned about 50 times before any hot water came through. Breakfast was disappointing the food was okay but the lack of beans really put me off, we had to order toast which was annoying. They should just have a toaster sitting out. Probably won't visit again unless we have another friend get married there
