Musselburgh Community Football Academy

Musselburgh CFA are dedicated to getting your child playing football at a level right for them, regardless of age or ability.

At Musselburgh Community Football Academy we have our own footballing philosophy and coaching methodology. Using our knowledge and passion for the sport we have created our own player pathway ensuring we effectively visit all of the core skills and develop our players in all areas of the game.

The player pathway starts with our re academy called Playmakers program aimed at 3 - 5 year old boys and girls. The focus is on developing coordination, movement, balance and most importantly fun, all while promoting a love for the beautiful game in a safe and controlled environment. Players then feed into the Progressive Academies for players aged 5 + where we offer a structured program of training and competition. We create an ideal environment where young footballers can thrive and maximize their potential. From the Progressive Academy players can advance to a suitable local or professional youth team, based on their abilities, which can be assisted by PFD`s numerous partnerships within the football community.

Every session is designed around a football specific topic and is delivered in a manner which is both inspirational and educational. The content ranges from fun games all the way through to sophisticated technical and tactical development all taking place in a non-pressured environment. All sessions focus on individual technical development and flow seamlessly from beginning to end. The content is modern, innovative and exciting for the player and allows the coach to observe and guide them in the appropriate manner.
