Mx Fenton Description
MX Fenton is a motocross practice track in East Lothian just east of Edinburgh. This facebook page is hear to tell you when practice days will be run and help answer any of your questions.
We run half hour sessions and alternate between a Youth session and Adult session. Youth sessions are open to riders over 7 years of age on 65cc or 85cc machines. Adult sessions are 15 years and above on 125cc machines and larger capacity bikes.
Practice is £20 (you have to have a MCF license)
We can sell a day practice license for £5 an annual practice license for £20 and full competition licenses. You can find all the prices for competition licenses at - http://www. mcfederation.com/licences
If you would like a full race license you have to be a member of a club. We have forms for our local club should you wish to join.

Rode the practice day at Tyningham (Dunbar) today and what a lovely bit of ground it is. A quick and flowing layout, no jumps to scare beginners and what a beautiful part of the world down there at the John Muir Country Park.

Unfortunately the track is closed this weekend (25th) the rain through the week has turned it to mush and there is more rain forecast.
Track Open Sunday (18th) 10am till 4pm as we are loosing daylight. Amigo's Soul Food will be down serving food all day from 10am. Rock up and get breakfast before a good days riding. See you Sunday.

A few small tweaks to the bottom end of the track. A general tidy up and some mellow rollers you can manual up, coming out of the far sandy corner by the old railway bridge. Thanks to Pete Mitchell for grading and rolling track too.
The forecast looks good atm, but Garry will post closer to the weekend with an update as to whether or not conditions are good to go this Sunday.
When everywhere else was under water this weekend, we somehow ended up with perfect conditions. Thanks to everyone who made the journey over and a big thank you to Amigo's Soul Food in particular, those were some damn tasty fajitas! Hopefully we can make that a more regular thing.

TRACK OPEN SUNDAY 11th. 10.30am till 16.30pm. Youth and adult sessions.
NOTE: There will be catering on site for those who want breakfast or lunch. Amigos Soul Food will be offering the usual breakfast rolls etc as well as some of their more signature dishes that they do at the festivals.
Having driven up from the South West through the storms and floods on the west side of the country overnight, it was a nice surprise to see the track looking like it could do with some wat...er!
We have re-routed the bottom of the circuit to provide more space between the lanes. This is purely for safety reasons, but should give a little more flow down there too. Thanks to Grant for helping get the new section posted before dark this evening.

I've just been rained off a job in Wales so will drive back up tonight and get a look at the track tomorrow. If it is rideable and the forecast is correct we should be good to go for practice this Sunday (11th).
I was back at the start of this week and did some changes to the bottom of the track. We will post some pics tomorrow with an update on the weather. J
We are unable to open on Sunday as there are no staff available, but the conditions right now are so good that it would be criminal to miss a weekend, especially when it's also that time of year where one week of solid rain will have us shut for the winter.

With an amber weather warning for Saturday and rain all day tomorrow, it's extremely unlikely we will be able to open on Sunday. We will post on Saturday to confirm. We don't have many days left this years to run so we will be open if there's any chance!
My D51 (blade) will be transported back up from Matterley shortly so you can look forward to a few changes to the track in the next few weeks. J

Track is well prepped. Couldn't believe how good it acctully was when I got out. 100% be back as it's now one of my favs
Really enjoyed riding this track can't wait for the next time, highly recommend A+++++
Over 300 mile round trip but well worth the journey I really love this tack ✊
My son's first time at the track and he really enjoyed his day there. Well prepared track with friendly people
My first time on the track at Fenton on Sunday. I thought it was great, very well prepared, nice track with all you would need from table tops, corner jumps, woops , small double etc
Easily used by pro and beginner alike. I will most certainly be back. Pity about my slight bike problems but never mind... Highly recommended
It was my first time at the track it was amazing very well graded 😜
