My Village Birds

I heard the first skylark yesterday, in the field below Kirkbrae! And today, a yellow hammer out by Innerwick Farm, where they live in the trees up the hill. And saw and heard a lovely little blue tit in a bush today, too - it's so much easier to identify birds right now when the trees are bare. And they love the earlier light as much as we do!

Song thrushes singing their hearts out over the village ! We are so lucky to have these. I heard skylarks in several fields as I went jogging on Sunday morning. And a greenfinch this afternoon.
