I find this topic kind of interesting. As a therapist we always want to apply some form.of hands on treatment and manual therapy. However recently studies have been shown that this could have some negative effects on recovery if not used correctly. If a muscle has became overactive to stabilise a joint and we use manual therapy techniques to make this unstable we could have negative effects on recovery. It is always key to work on stabilisers that are key to your injury. before we make any adjustments and implement manual therapy. Manual therapy does have its place but if your finding you arent getting the results you expect you could be missing a key part of the rehabilitation.👍

Well I found the trip to body world a lot more beneficial than I thought some really good displays on how the body looks and moves. And really good to see how different procedures look after being done. Such as hip and knee replacements. and how an open reduction internal fixation may look after broken bones. And really good to image how attachments and insertions of muscles may affect certain movement patterns. Hopefully some of you may learn something 😊👌.
