Need A Helping Hand Description

Do you find that there is not enough time in the day to deal with everything?

Paperwork, appointments, making phone calls… the list goes on. Even making a cup of tea and a bite to eat takes it out of you.

This describes my mum and this is why I started Need a Helping Hand.

It began with sorting through admin and calling service providers and utility companies.

We soon realised she was not on the best tariffs or the right package. This grew to include organisation of her regular bills and sorting through the filing. That way she knew when they were coming in and when they needed to be paid. We prepared the cheques and got them off.

We understand that many elderly people are not on the internet. They may also have hearing difficulties and find calling companies something they keep putting off or become frustrated with.

We are here to make life easier for an elderly person.

Administration to include letter writing, paying bills, working with you to prepare a budget, talking to service providers.

Organising paperwork and filing in a way that suits you.

Arranging for handymen to come in when a job needs doing. Negotiating the best price and being there when they come to your home and provide reassurance.

Making hair appointments either at home or taking you to the salon.

Help planning an event!
Booking travel or helping to organise a holiday.

Taking you to meet friends or visit to a social group.

Companionship.
