Our yarn is available in the following weights; Chunky, Aran and Double Knitting, each of which are ideal for both hand knitting and machine knitting.
Our Chunky, Aran and Double Knitting woollen yarns are available in 4 exceptionally high quality ranges spun from British wool; Heather Blends 100% Pure Wool, Natural Mixtures 100% Pure Wool, The Italian Collection 100% Pure Wool and Donegal Silk Tweed 90% Wool 10% Silk. We also sell a range of our own knitwear, throws and textile products.
We are certified Organic Spinners, and in New Lanark became the first wool production unit in Scotland to achieve the Soil Association's organic approval, guaranteeing that our organic yarn is produced to the highest standards of animal welfare and environmental protection. We are also accredited by the British Wool Marketing Board.
Our Organic yarn is made from 100% organic wool from the Falkland Isles, which is well known for being soft to the touch.
All of our high quality yarn is produced by traditional methods in one of the historic New Lanark Mills, at the heart of the World Heritage Site, where a 19th century spinning mule is still working, powered by renewable energy from our own hydro-electricity production.
