Gospel Concert pt. 3

Sunday morning service on 28th January 2018 , Pastor Beek ministering to us via Skype and then there was Job Fayre where he encouraged us all to step out in faith and get involved !

Bishop Leroy Francis teaching at HBC and speaking on Wednesday night Bible Study on 24th January 2018 with message entitled ‘ The works of the ministry and the ministry of the Word’ he brought startling statistics of the population in Scotland, Glasgow and then the Parkhead area! He reminded us that every soul counts and every member of the church matters and we are important and we are responsible for the harvest. @ New Life Church, Shettleston Road, Parkhead , Glasgow

Wednesday night Bible study on 24th January 2018, Pastor Kelley opened up in service , HBC students led praise and worship and Bro Steven , representing the HBC students , brought a message entitled ‘ Adjust your comfort zone towards your throne’ he re-iterated Jesus didn’t have a comfort zone & challenged us with a question asking if we are preparing for the return of Jesus tomorrow ?? #AdjustYourComfortZoneTowardsYourThrone @ Newlifechurch Scotland

Bro Jason speaking in main service on Sunday 21st January 2018 with message entitled ‘ Position For Victory ‘ he cited Paul and Silas singing hymns , praising God in prison and didn’t allow circumstances to take/ steal their praise. He also mentioned psychologists carried out studies showing our attitudes change our behaviour and our behaviour change our attitudes. To change the way we feel, we need to change the way we behave. We change position and we change our body language. Our responses are natural and we pick up habits socially by copying , but athletes who were born blind automatically lift their hands up when reaching the finishing line ( it is our God given response )so friends let us continue lifting up our hands in victory #PositionForVictory @ New Life Church, Shettleston Road, Parkhead , Glasgow

Sunday morning service on 14th January 2018 ,,Sis Wallace greeting the Church with her studies of the Latin language , Bro Coker bringing a very a very encouraging word entitled ‘ Stretch ‘ where he cited the man with the withered hand in Matthew 12! This was the flaw which kept this man out of the synagogue: his withered hand which was of no use. This man was ready for a change and needing a healing ! Faith drew him and hope pulled him towards Jesus as the same attributes wh...ich caused the woman with the issue of blood to push through for her healing . When Jesus told this man to stretch forth , he obeyed. When Peter was sinking, he stretched out his hand and Jesus stretched his out too and caught him! Stretching surpasses all emotions, doubts and the flesh although it may be uncomfortable and a bit painful at times #Stretch @ New Life Church, Shettleston Road, Parkhead , Glasgow

Bro Sam Ackah speaking on the final night of youth / student revival services on Friday 12th January 2018 with message entitled ‘ Now its the time ‘ where he exhorted is to invest in ourselves. He gently reminded us one day the Lord will require us to move on and to regard every moment as a privilege and every day as a gift. He cited the three servants in Matthew 25 and asked what did they invest in?? The servant knew the will of the master ; the master was pleased with the first two servants. God is not for us, we must be for God , we must conform to His plans, His image and His purpose! Bro Sam Ackah speaking on the 2nd night of youth / student revival service with message entitled ‘ Now is the high time ‘ ; he emphasised now its the time to be awaken out of slumber, to raise the banner and time to do damage to the enemy’s kingdom! It’s also time to re-position ourselves. Bro Ackah 5 daughters in the book of Numbers who petitioned Moses for their inheritance as there were no male heirs! God granted them their petitions ! A sobering thought was brought to us : how many people has suffered because we didn’t petition God! We were also reminded not to look at ourselves through our own eyes but through the eyes of God! Our prayers don’t just affect us ; they affect those around us : family, friends, neighbours, colleagues etc !! #NowIsTheHighTime @ New Life Church, Shettleston Road, Parkhead , Glasgow

Bro Sam Ackah #HBCAlumni speaking on the first night of three nights of revival service bringing a powerful message entitled ‘ Now ‘ where he used the story of Blind Bartimaeus as an illustration for determination , faith and recognition as to who Jesus is! He wasn’t willing to be silenced , made use of his time and made his invitation! He threw off his garments ; the situation was weighing him down and he was identified by his old clothes ! Bro Ackah reminded us to recognise... the garments we are wearing reflects our attitudes ; weights which wraps itself around us and the different layers reflect distraction, offends, anger and bitterness ! God cannot bless us as we walk around with so many layers that we become de-sensitised. Friends do not stop where the Lord has touched you , use that as a benchmark ! Bro Ackah demonstrated the garments by putting on three suit jackets and a thick coat which weighed him down ! Seen here also Bro Ackah praying for a visually impaired minister of the Gospel ! We are believing for a full restoration of sight in Jesus Name !
