When I was in the market to buy a piano (pretty large old grand) Jack helped me choose the one I wanted.

Newlands Pianos has an ethos that every single family should be able to have a piano in their home, and to that end, Jack has pianos of all types, ages and conditions. However, the one thing you can be assured of when doing business with Jack is that you will get honest, knowledgeable advice, and that whatever piano you end up with, whether it's at the lower or higher end of the price range, it will be cleaned up and tuned to perfection so that is the best that it can be. Newlands Pianos will not charge you silly money either - the price you pay will be the right price, and a fair price. It's not often you come across a business that is not only in it for the joy of being able to do the work that they do, but also so that they can bring happiness to their customers' homes at a price they can afford. I would never go elsewhere now and can wholeheartedly recommend this amazing place.

Just bought a lovely old Lipp upright from Newlands and we are thrilled. Jack clearly loves and knows his pianos and it was a real pleasure to do business with him. He's highly efficient - he returns calls immediately, is happy to open shop at weekends if necessary - and the turnaround was super-quick, including the delivery which he organized. It's rare to walk away from a transaction like this filled with such confidence. I am also certain, after my own research, that his pianos are good value. As he points out, he has no formal showroom in town, just an industrial estate unit down Pilrig St, which means low overheads, reflected in the final piano price. If you want a piano in Edinburgh, this is without question the place to go.

Jack was really professional and helpful, giving really good advice, and with really interesting information about all his pianos! I came into the store, and within 30 minutes had tried nearly 10 pianos, and fallen in love with one. I was really impressed by the range of pianos on hand, some of which were truly of excellent quality and not at too high a price. Jack was also a great help for organising the transport and delivery of the piano, and also recommended piano tuners etc... Cannot recommend enough!

I was really impressed with the selection of Pianos at Newlands Pianos. The knowledge and enthusiasm of the owner was very impressive. I was looking at the budget end and that didn't disappoint. I bought but then changed my mind which might have been a problem but John the owner accommodated my indecision and allowed a trade in and I purchased a more suitable and slightly more expensive instrument. I left a very happy and satisfied customer.

I play here quite often and the pianos are always fully tuned and ready to play.

The pianos are tuned and fixed up so that you can enjoy your piano for many years after buying with Newlands Pianos. I absolutely LOVE my new/old piano. I first saw it advertised for sale last year but the timing was wrong and ultimately was no longer for sale. I was gutted. So you can imagine how shocked/surprised and excited to see it for sale again at the beginning of the month. Timing was perfect. I went and viewed it on Friday there, paid for it and.....it was delivered yesterday (Monday)! Super quick delivery. The piano (huge upright made in Richmond Indiana in � in 1908) is in great condition, looks amazing, been tuned. Everything's great. The customer service was and still is great! Jack is always there to answer any questions. He has a great selection of pianos. I highly highly highly recommend!!!! Many thanks again!
