From start to finish of the process I was very impressed with the staff at Newmachar Motors. I telephoned on Wednesday and had a chat with Brian and we came to a great deal on my Discovery 4, he had a great knowledge of the vehicle as he only buys local good quality cars. I then put the wheels in motion and he got it through the workshop and put a new MoT on it for me, it was all ready for Friday night, so I went up early Sat morning and met Brian and his lovely wife who took me through the paperwork and his son who arranged the tax for me . Very helpful, friendly honest family garage. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good second hand car at very reasonable prices. But the main thing is nothing was too much bother.
Certainly be recommending them to anyone I know looking for a vehicle.

I had a good experience with Newmachar Motors. I saw a Mondeo on autotrader that had the particular spec I was looking for and thought it was worth the 75 mile journey to check it out. Beforehand I had been reassured by the good quality photos of the car on autotrader and by way of phone and email correspondence with the garage (they sent me additional photos that I requested).

On my first trip to view the car I wasn't disappointed as the condition was exactly as described - excellent. There was one slight niggle in that a bit of dash trim was missing from an air vent but I went away and found out how much the part was (only 25 pounds) and they kindly knocked that off the price that we'd agreed upon. I didn't feel that I had been misled about this as it was something that took a while for me to notice too given the otherwise excellent condition of the car.

I traded in my old car (a weary 14 year old Mondeo) and feel that they were suitably generous with the amount they gave me for it so I've no complaints there either.

On the day I collected the car I travelled from Dundee after work and was assured that the garage would stay open late to make the sale if I ended up running late due to traffic etc. It wasn't needed in the end though and the sale process was handled very smoothly. Indeed all aspects of the process were explained thoroughly which I appreciated as I don't change cars very often and am not too familiar with the ins and outs.

I've been very pleased with the car so far and got the impression that the garage were motor enthusiasts that took pride in having well cared for and well prepared cars on their forecourt. I would happily recommend Newmachar Motors to anyone looking for a good used car.

I went in on Monday morning of last week with a fault light on my car, I had tried and failed to turn it off view YouTube videos / home diagnostic kits. My girlfriends driving test was on the Sunday and a requirement to have no fault lights in the car. Graham was very helpful and booked me in for Wednesday. I picked up the car at 2pm on the Wednesday and they had discovered a faulty sensor which they changed and meant I didn't have to cancle the test. Very satisfied with the service as my girl friend sat her driving test four days later and passed. Thank you Newmachar motors for helping me out on short notice!

Absolutely first class service from this family run firm. Made it much less stressful buying a new car than it has previously been. Newmachar Motors will be top of my list of recommendations to anyone who is thinking about changing their car.
