Big Dodd says It’s a bit driech today- that’s wet and miserable to my non Scots followers! All the goats are staying inside cozy on their new bed of straw

User

These are the pet lambs you came to bottle feed in the spring! Can you believe how they have grown? And the second piccy shows the wee lamb that was very poorly when little who would never come over for a bottle, we always had to lift it out and give it a bozey 💕

User

Eclipse playing chicken with the Landrover this morning 😬

User

Weather turned out lovely for our birthday Farm tour this afternoon. Even the highlanders came to see us but best of all is the photo of jonty smiling - what do you think?

User

Angus just about staying in the garden! After the bull knocked down the dyke, we are in the middle of a rebuild 😂

User

Fabulous visit to the new Bothy experience in Glamis! Well worth a visit, learn about an old Bothy, book into the tasting rooms or buy some gin gems and other products in their shop. And it’s dog friendly (except the tasting rooms) another great reason to stay in Angus! @dogfriendlyangus @angustourismcooperative Visit Angus

Absolutely delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as finalists for VisitScotlands Thistle Awards for not 1 but 2 categories as most hospitable B&B AND best outdoor experience! Farmer graeme had a lovely surprise this afternoon when a Chinese family turned up at the farm. Totally unexpected we took them on a wee walk and a wee safari to meet the tractors and animals, even big Dodd the bull. We really enjoyed sharing the Farm with this family and hope someday we will see them again, hopefully in China 😁 thanks for visiting us today.

Wow well what can I say!! This woman Farmer Louise and her husband Graham are amazing!! How they can even function every day with what they both do is just beyond me!! Farmer Louise makes you so very welcome and goes way and beyond to make your day as special as can be! My youngest wasn't her best behaved and moaned and cried a lot but Louise made sure she was okay and then let her feed the chickens which she totally loved!

I couldn't recommend this Farm enough defo worth a visit more than once ..thank you again for your time and fulfilling my dreams of bottle feeding a lamb xx

User

What an amazing afternoon we had! From bottle feeding the baby lambs and goats to walking the alpacas and then touring the farm meeting all the other animals and feeding the chickens and hand feeding cows, it was all just brilliant. Kids and adults all had a wonderful afternoon in the sunshine. Lou and her family were so friendly and welcoming. The animals are happy to greet you and welcome a scratch and cuddle. The afternoon whizzed by. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thank you again!

We went to Newton farm last week from Monday to Friday with our grandson Dylan. Dylan has stated this is the best holiday he has ever had. Big statement from a 7 year old. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed into the family home by Scott and his adorable puppy.

We were given a full tour of the farm by Louise (Wonder woman) which was very informative and interesting for the young to us oldies. The farm was very central for getting to Dundee and Forfar town centres. There is also a fab eating place nearby which Louise gave us 10% of vouchers.

The breakfast was super and Dylan has stated he will definitely returning to the farm for another holiday next year. Thanks again Louise and family for making us feel very comfortable within their family home.

User

We had the best time this morning at Newton Farm and made such amazing memories. Lou is a fantastic guide, a mine of information and alongside her family, works incredibly hard to keep the farm ticking over. The animals are so well looked after and we learned lots about each type, what they eat, how they’re looked after and all the time and hard work that goes into this.

It was great to be able to bottle feed adorable lambs and kid goats . We will definitely be back soon.

I recommmend this tour to anyone who loves animals and wants to support a hardworking family

User

We all had a lovely day today at the farm. My daughter turned 2 today, Lou made it special for her letting her feed the poorly and best of all the chocolate cake she kindly gave her .

The tour was amazing, clearly a hardworking family. The animals were all so well behaved, was lovely to be able to feed and pet them. The alpacas were my favourite.

Thank you again, highly recommended!x

User

Revisited the farm today for a farm tour with both my children, we all enjoyed the fantasic experience getting up close with all the animals and learning new things. Louise was fab with the whole group and spent the time going round all the areas without feeling rushed and was amazing with the all the children answering any questions along the way. We all enjoyed getting the opportunity to bottle feed the kids and lambs and have just enjoyed our free range eggs for lunch they were delicious, highly reccommend xxx

User

My son and I had a great day walking the alpacas, touring round the farm and feeding the lambs and chickens. All the staff were fantastic and I couldn't recommend this experience highly enough, plus the amazing sunshine might have helped! As a side note, my wife bought this as a gift for us and says the lady she contacted was nothing but accomodating, friendly, efficient and reassuring that our autistic son would have a great time and he most certainly did. Could not recommend enough!

User

I grew up on a farm (a very long time ago), and having followed the facebook page for sometime, this has been on my wish list of things to do ... and it was everything I hoped for and more. Louise and Graham are so welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble to ensure that you get the most from your visit. The tour itself involves being taken round all the different animals and learning about breeding, feeding, etc. And if you haven't followed the facebook page previously, it soon becomes very clear, just how much the family love their animals. It was also facinating to see how the animals responded to humans ... with Hamish and Lucy running across the field at the call of their name. The tour allows you the opportunity to collect eggs, hand feed treats to goats and cows, and to bottle feed lambs and kids. And for anybody without the farming background, it lets you see the hours and work needed to keep a farm going. We had also booked an alpaca walk for the afternoon, and it was an amazing experience to get up close and personal to these spectacular beasts....even if Casper was trying to steal the limelight. Newton Farm offers B&B and self catering accommodation. The B&B is first class, within the farmhouse, and again ... nothing is too much trouble. This is an experience for all ages. Wear your wellies! And dress for the weather! And go more than once! As on a farm, different things happen at different times of year ... so the tour will be different in Autumn to the tour in the Spring.

User

Huge thank you to Louise for the amazing private farm tour we had today for my niece Maggie-Lou’s 5th birthday, I had left it a little late to book which meant the tours were full but Louise offered the option of a private tour so the birthday girl wasn’t disappointed.... the kids loved feeding the chickens and the cows bottle feeding the baby lambs and goats bonus that we got to see the alpacas too which logan loved was a truly amazing day and would highly recommend to everyone of all ages !! we finished off our tour with a birthday cake from Louise which was a lovely touch and made the day very special... we will definitely visit again xx

User

Had an amazing tour today - prob loved it more than the kids! Really informative and the work they do on a daily basis is fascinating - best bit was kisses from the lambs at feeding times - thoroughly recommend xx

User

Great morning touring the farm! Farmer Louise was fab and told us all about the animals we were seeing and answered any questions we had. Love that it was interactive and we got to feed all of the animals as well. Favourite was bottle feeding the baby goats we will be back ! X

Cannot recommend your farm enough..every family should come experience farm life for a few hours!

User

A huge thank you to Louise for the very informative farm tour today. What an absolute treat to hear about life on a working farm from a family so clearly passionate about both what they do and their animals. The tour started with meeting premmie triplet kids who are just 2 weeks old and ended with feeding an orphaned kid. Such a privilege to see a wee calf born too! We will definately be back to see how the wee ones we met today are getting on and support all the hard work Louise, Graham and the wider family do day in and day out. Highly recommend a visit. You'll learn so much and are bound the fall in love with the animals.
