always very friendly staff and a lot of fun. I'm a person who's always cold and to have a blanket there would be amazing ;) will be back in another 4 months :)

Very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly staff with parking just outside which is a real bonus for this city! Managed to make an appointment on the day which suited me perfectly! Good snacks too!

Proffesional, friendly, attentive and easy to deal with. From first contact out at reception, through the patient pin prick test, during the process of taking your bold, a coffee and buiscuit after with a chat and back to reception for then next booking. See you all Gain on the 4th December.

My first donation at the Donor center as I usually go to a mobile one elsewhere.

They nurses where lovely and made me feel very comfortable. My Nurse Carol was especially lovely, I was there to also be tested to be a platelet Donor, she talked me through the procedure if I was successful what would happen. All round a lovely experience, these nurses are a credit to the NHS!

My Dad and I donated at the Cambridge blood donor centre for the first time today, My Dad who has donated over 120 times, travelled from Shropshire, since the mobile blood collections have been made redundant in Shropshire it’s been impossible for him to donate close to home. He said that the experience today was like it used to be 20 years ago, a real pleasure and we felt so appreciated. We’ll see you again in 3 months!

I've been a doner for 19 years/49 donations, and the donation centre is my favourite location. They do appointment times in the evening once a week plus regular Saturdays, which makes it easy to donate. There is free parking and WiFi, plus they have TVs with subtitles on to watch (more interesting than your average village hall ceiling!).

The staff are professional and friendly, and it was lovely to see doner carer John still working there, even though I hadn't made it to this location in a few years.

If you're going to donate a pint of the red stuff, I would highly recommend this location.

I went yesterday for my first platelet donation, I've been a blood donor on and off for over 10 years (in between tattoos etc). The stand out difference is this site is far better equipped than most of the donation centres I've used previously, originally the donor truck came to my employers offices, recently I've been giving in Huntington.

First the staff on the reception were amazing, they couldn't do enough to make my donation as easy as possible, really stepping beyond my expectations.

Secondly the donation room is far better equipped than sites I've previously used as I mentioned, TVs with subtitles, radio playing quietly in the background and plenty of staff on hand should the donor need any assistance. It really made a great deal of difference for a platelet donation, since the timeframe is significantly longer than a blood donation.

Finally and probably should have been first, simple thing but parking is available outside the donor centre, while it's not a massive issue for me, those of less able body will find that a huge benefit. As well as being free, it always seems wrong to have to pay for parking, when I'm only there to give blood in the hopes of helping someone in their moment of need...maybe just me.

Overall really great site with friendly and approachable staff, best donation I've ever done.

I was a platelet donor at Brentwood for many years until it was closed in March 2015, a very short ssighted decision in my opinion. I now travel over 120 miles to Cambridge to continue donating but it is always well worth it. Staff are great but orange and mint chocolate Club biscuits help!!!

I normally go to mobile donor centres, but this was so nice, with a great set up and lovely staff, that I think I'll keep coming here despite the extra distance.

I made an appointment after being unable to attend my next two local donations due to work. I didn't want to wait until the end of June to donate, so I decided to Travel from Thetford to Cambridge so I could donate. The staff are so friendly.

I haven't given blood in a year or too. Due to minor illness and just life got in the way. The staff make you feel welcome and well cared for. I hate needles so they make you calm. Some even remembered my face which was lovely. It was so great to see a full room of blood and platelet donors as previously it had been quite empty. 16 weeks and I'll be there again!

I have donated at quite a few places. This one is probably my fa

I have donated in quite a few places – 67 times in fact. Having just moved to Cambridge I think this is probably the best one I've been to. No waiting and lovely staff.

I have been donating platelets now for about 3 years. Just donated my 45th. The team at Cambridge make you feel welcome and their customer care and after care is fantastic.

Just one small point - Bring back the bacon rolls

User

I have been donating at this centre for getting on for 30 years now. Good staff and a friendly welcome. I urge people to consider blood and platelet donation

Fantastic staff - treat you like royalty!

Been donating platelets for more years than I care to remember and can honestly say I have never had a bad experience, very friendly staff and receptionists, always greeted by name when arriving, nearly at the 200th donation but will keep going for as long as I can

A great place to donate blood. Central location. Appointment system so no long waiting queues. Free carparking directly outside. Nice air conditioned donor suite. Very friendly staff. Great treats & filter coffee after donation. Would definitely recommend using Cambridge Blood donation centre for all existing donors & New donors alike 😀 . #DoSomethingAmazing #GiveBlood
