During the October school holidays Inverness College UHI hairdressing students and their lecturer, Elizabeth Burton are going to be using their skills to give free haircuts to schoolchildren while raising awareness of #holidayhunger. They are running the event with the Hungry Horse club at the #BughtStop, Inverness and will do as many free haircuts as possible between 10am-12noon on Wednesday 24 October. Hungry Horse https://www.facebook.com/The-Hungry-Horse -227742894616465/ is a community project that has stepped in to fill the gap where children from low income families can end up going hungry during the school holidays when they can’t get free school meals. https://nhsh.scot/2S1R6T0

NHS Near Me is about delivering services to patients wherever they want to be. The new #NHSH service will give patients the option of having their hospital appointment via telephone or video consultation from the comfort of their own home or local healthcare facility rather than having to travel to see a consultant.

I had occasion to be in the new MHDU last Monday with a patient. A great new Unit. The staff were awesome and so professional. Along with the experience in the A&E I couldn't speak highly enough of our NHS.. Brilliant.

User

Had our son in raigmore hospital last September and got 100% treatment from all the staff in the wards I was in and can’t thank them enough for everything they have done.

User

Had a total hip replacement last week in Raigmore - thanks, James Simpson - and all going well. Can’t thank the staff on Ward 3C enough: they coped with this crotchety and bloodyminded 71 y/o with humour and sensitivity and kindness. My special thanks and appreciation to Roly - a delight to have around, and beyond impressive in an emergency situation. Well done, Roly. xxx

All I can say is that I have had the best service ever since I first visited the doctor in Aviemore with a lump in my breast. I had an appointment exactly 1 week later at Raigmore hospital in the specialised clinic and was seen on time with the most lovely friendly staff.

Fortunately it was good news and I am absolutely delighted however some other patients that day will have received some devastating news and I'm sure they will be treated with dignity and kindness.

We are so lucky in this area to have such a swift brilliant service and I cannot fault NHS in any way shape or form. Massive thumbs up for all who work within this wonderful service to the public. Thank you so very much.

After a very complicated arrival of our first child back in 2011 we where very nervous when similar warning signs started to show during our second pregnancy especially when things started to happen early. We just wanted to stop and say thanks to everyone of the amazing people at Raigmore wards 9A,10 and the Doctors, surgical and support team on 25.03.18 and the surrounding weeks before and after you do an amazing job and kept us feeling settled and at ease. Also to thank everyone involved in the delivery of our first child on 3.1.11 at 29 weeks and the huge team who supported him through his months in SCBU and enabled him to be the strong healthy, happy child he is today. Simply amazing what you do. X

User

terrible treatment of staff with disabilities.

User

Never done anything for me. The service clearly discriminates single childless people and if you look at their anti-discrimination policy on their website, you see all the usual categories, gender, disability, race etc but there's nothing that says they don't discriminate against single childless people. I get it. Because we aren't important enough.

Roll on privatisation so I can at least buy the treatments I need.

Edit: They responded, and all they did was send me another stupid form. Full of pen-pushers!!!! I am in agony. They have had 15 years to perform a simple operation to relieve me of the pain, but they haven't. It's made me insane!

User

Maybe not so bad but I had a bad experience with nurse Lindsay Fraser. She was rude, not overlly helpful. This kind of person shouldn't work with people, especially as a nurse

User

I think it is awful !!!! I dont get a Reply to a simple Question I have asked about ????
