Thank you to the staff in A and E at Hairmyres who looked after me with great care this afternoon. The staff had such a lovely manner and were swift in their actions. Thank you x

Second time in a few months visiting the minor ailments clinic at hairmyres. First time my 6 year old had fell and had a deep cut in the forehead, second visit my 2 year old fell and.......had a deep gash in her forehead!! Both times we were seen in under an hour (a Tuesday evening & Friday morning). The staff were great and very helpful. The doctor who treated my 2 year old was very thorough and gave her a full examination. Both times we left with a leaflet on head injuries and if we had any concerns at all (over both kids) to come straight back. The hospital was clean and the staff very nice. Thank you for a great service.

On behalf of my wife and I, we would like to like to thank all of the midwifes, nurses, doctors, surgeon, cooks & cleaners for taking such good care us at Wishaw General Hospital. Everyone single person played a vital role to ensure the safe delivery of our wee miracle daughter Isla. We were astounded by the professionalism, empathy and GENUINE care we experienced from every single person we encountered on our journey and we simply could not have done it without you! We're loving every second of our first week at home with our daughter and I personally owe all of you a great debt of gratitude for taking such good care of my family. Thank you! Chris, Paula & Baby Isla (maybe see you next year:)

My 94 year old Dad with dementia / blind was admitted with a fractured hip on Monday 10 jan I am delighted with the attention and care he received in A/E and ward 5 Hairmyres hospital . They have johns campaign which means we can go anytime day or night and be with him. I went right down to theatre and was able to stay with him and reassure him while a lovely and very attentive group of staff anaesthetised him ready for his operation. The recovery staff telephoned me as soon as he was out of theatre. The hospital and staff are getting such bad press just now about waiting times and care but I can’t fault it ... each member of staff was kind and caring and very helpful and myself and my family can’t thank them enough it made a very stressful and worrying time for us so much easier

User

Many thanks to the all the staff at the day surgery unit at Wishaw General Hospital. The treatment I received last week was first class and to the highest standard. Also a special thank you to Dr Casam and all his team for looking after me, you all do a amazing job x

User

Last Thursday I was advised by my GP to go to A&E at Monklands hospital. The care and attention I received from the initial assessment until I left AMRU on the Friday at 9pm was outstanding. All the staff were caring and attentive and worked tirelessly to support all the patients. There are too many to name them all to express my gratitude but a special mention to Dr Stewart McKie who conducted my initial assessment and Paul the nurse in AMRU who are both an absolute credit to their profession.

I would like to thank each individual medical professional who helped me over the last 2 days, it's the least I can do......I was rather ill on Monday morning and called my GP's surgery (Coatbank in Coatbridge health centre) and got a morning appointment. Dr O'Suillivan didn't like my symptoms and called an ambulance to take me to monklands. The 2 guys from Motherwell depot were great, got me safely and quickly into the ERU. From there I was dealt with instantly with nurses and doctors doing all sorts to get to the root of my condition. Turned out I had Pnemonia and wasnt in great shape. Everyone worked hard and fast to ensure I got the best possible care to assist me in getting better. I was taken to Ward 19 where all staff were wonderful, nothing was a problem for any of them, they were very quick to offer help or assistance. I'm now home thanks to them all and feeling much better. The care and attention I was given was second to none. Thank you so much NHS, I've no idea where I would be without your help. Truly wonderful service you provided me, thank you.

Feeling greatful to nhs24 the paramedics and staff @ monklands hospital who literally saved my life this week, I've never given sepsis a thought until now, if I'd have ignored my symptoms and not phoned nhs24 who inturn sent an ambulance I would not be here now, I have and always will support our nhs you do an amazing job xxx

User

Don't know what we would do without this hospital from the cleaners to the top brass the all work their socks of and not always do they get the praise they deserve may I personally say thank you xx

User

Cannot thank the staff at Wishaw General who saw my son tonight enough. Not only did he receive the most excellent level of care but they went above and beyond expectations. They made what was a scary situation for my son and ourselves a lot easier to deal with and made us feel as ease the entire time. This was done whilst having a waiting room full of patients on a busy Saturday night. Thank you so much. We will forever be grateful xx

User

All Staff in ward 17 Wishaw General were outstanding during my recent treatment. Fabulous care and empathy given to each and every patient in the room. Cared for each individually and with respect, consideration and patience. During a difficult time they were reassuring and supportive in every way. From admission to discharge nothing was too much for any of them. Thank you isn't said enough.

User

After a recent admission to Monklands Hospital i cannot praise the staff involved highly enough. The professionalism and excellence in care was outstanding. From the HNC student in the Same Day Admission Unit, to all nurses, doctors, anaesthetists, consultant, Mr Kang and all the theatre staff who made me feel safe, and cared for with compassion. It was a worrying time for me but you made my time spent in the hospital easier. Post-op care was excellent also

Thank you to everyone.

After 5 long years following a stroke, our dad died yesterday in Strathclyde Ward in Airbles Rd. Centre in Motherwell. It is a testament to the exceptional care provided by Dr Logan, Katherine Ann the Ward Manager and ALL the team who work in there that he was still with us after 5 years and able to meet his wee grand-daughter and see his two grand-sons grow into great wee boys. We will never forget the staff of Strathclyde Ward for the loving care they gave Dad right to the end, and the sense of shared loss that they clearly had. You are a credit to the NHS and NHS Lanarkshire in particular.

User

A big thank you to Hairmyres ED staff. You were great especially Anna my mums nurse and Louise the doctor on call. You both kept on apologising for waiting times and completely unnecessary as your standard of care was fantastic in a very busy department. Louise the doctor kept my mum informed regularly of what was happening and Anna looked after my mum and myself especially when she found I was just off shift.

We don't say enough in healthcare our appreciation to other members of staff. Keep up the good work and a thank you to ward 2 staff as well xxxx

User

Thanks to all the staff who have taken care of my husband these last 5 days.

All the staff, particularly the nurses work their butts off to provide the best care, for all their patients. Sadly they don’t get the recognition they are due. We cannot thank you enough!

So, to All the staff at Monklands hospital keep up the good work, one day your reward will come.

User

Had my wife up for MRI scan today, staff great but unfortunately feel you don't care to ensure all safety features are set properly as the red emergency cords in the xray department at Monklands has these tied up. They should reach the floor in case anyone falls. No use when it's up above sink.

User

I recently had my baby girl at Wishaw General Hospital, and was disgusted and horrified to learn that people continue to be allowed to smoke at the main entrance of the hospital. When I was leaving the hospital with my new baby, before I even got near the doors I could smell smoke in the main corridor. Do you think this is acceptable? I certainly do not. I actually wrote to you back in April 2012 when I had my first daughter, to complain about this, and I never received a response. This is clearly an issue and should be policed better.

User

What a joke of a system. 6 months I've been in pain with no help from my GP and I go to an orthopaedic consultant appt this morning to be told I shouldn't have been there till after my MRI which is on the 27th and to go back on 5th july and left with no help. My GP has also done nothing to help and after 6 months I can now barely walk. Just doing things like put on socks and shoes has me screaming out in pain and left in tears. And I have a 2 year old to look after. I break down in tears 4-5 times a day with pain but the NHS thinks this is ok. This is a disgrace!
