Archibald Noble was a whisky bonder and blender, starting out in 1896 and still hard at it in 1941! We recently unearthed some fantastic old documents, subsequently we're learning some interesting little ditties about our founder and namesake - slangevar! 🥂

What's not to love? There's a hurricane imminent so batten down the hatches and get one of the best burgers in town in your pie hole. Love it!
We had an incredible meal here on Hogmanay (from the normal dinner menu); staff were attentive and friendly, food was delicious, well-presented and very reasonably priced. Would return in a heartbeat and strongly recommend this venue for its food, drink and great atmosphere!
Very good atmosphere in this pub...!!! Nice food and drinks! 2 evening times!
The serving staff Sooooo super attentive and patient with our orders swithering about...that magic pork and prawn starter...great beer suggestion AND the burger...HIT THE SPOT ;)
Really lovely venue, that we have only just found out about!
Amazing choice on the 2 menus, the bar menu staples are perfect (both the beef and veggie burgers are exceptional), and the specials menu bring exciting surprises!
Great staff, great atmosphere. Feel lucky to have found it!
Just had just a beautiful meal at Noble's tonight! I was so impressed with the vegetarian options available and had the veggie haggis and beetroot burger, something I've never had before but would definitely recommend. Service was absolutely amazing and it felt like nothing was too much and our waiter was so friendly! Thank you Noble's, you have provided me with such a lovely experience and happy memories x
Impromptu brunch with my besto. The ladies were chirpy, upbeat and friendly. The food was most fabulous as was the espresso. The only disappointing thing is that my friend couldn't buy me one of your espresso cups as you only have 4!
I've lived in Leith since moving to Edinburgh 4 years ago from Sydney. Nobles was the first place I had brunch, and it's still a regular for my friends and I, I've even celebrated a few birthdays there. The staff are lovely and the food is fresh and tasty, oh and they allow dogs :D
Had dinner here last night...excellent xx
Friendly, attentive staff, who didn't rush to get u out! Laid back, chilled atmosphere.
Food and drinks were fantastic...highly recommend!!
Love that it is only across the road too..xx
Great pub, great food, best brunch in Edinburgh!
Great food and staff very friendly
Breakfast is amazing! Eggs benedict nobles style with the black pudding is to die for you won't be disappointed
Been twice when in Edinburgh - food is amazing and it's a beautiful place to eat. Lots to look at and staff are very welcoming. Highly recommend :)
A fantastic weekend brunch venue . We will be back again for brunch, lunch and dinner. Lovely staff with a chilled vibe. The veggie breakfast was delicious.
Had dinner with friends there a few hrs ago and we had a great time. The food was delicious, for both the myself and my veggie friend, the male waiter was very attentive and friendly, he moved us to a slightly bigger as the original for 3 people was a little "cozy" which was very thoughtful of him. We will definitely be back again soon.
Been in Leith for just a few days and happen to step in this bar / restaurant. What a surprise. Good place to be and really good food and drinks. Thanks
It was my first time at Nobles tonight the food was lovely but the service intermittent sat for ages then asked could we order food to be told that girl will be with you in a minute then when she took our plates away there was no mention of desserts that was it I eventually caught a waiters eye and asked could we order desserts then we waited ages for them considering they were already prepared the girl did apologise for our wait then when the bill came it was wrong
Total fail today at Nobles...1 hour wait for simple food order, staff had no idea, no apologies no explanation. It wasn't even busy. Very poor service all round but to be honest the food was good.
Really disappointed with this venue and the attitude of the bar staff, attended for a works leaving doo, arrived circa 4pm a large crowd where the bar staff were more than happy to accommodate a large party, the tills were ringing as large rounds of drinks were purchased, all was going well as it should be great friends, great fun and banter lovely surroundings, that is until around 8pm we were still there minding our own business however due to the large numbers chatting and laughing (not a crime) however it would appear in your establishment it is, we were asked to be quiet we tried to reason with the bar staff one of which became slightly aggressive to one of our members, we were told that due to this being primarily a restaurant we were disturbing the people eating, this was totally unwarranted as we were not raucous in any shape or form, the Management it would appear want the best of both worlds let’s take folks money for drink when the bar is empty and when it turns into lucrative food, let’s tell the drinking clientele who buy the way have spent more than your foodies they are surplus to requirements, guys please remember good welcoming pubs in leith are a plenty, and the pub game very fickle, I by the way wasn’t drinking and therefore have a clear and concise memory of events, exceptionally poor service by your bar staff however they were happy to say that they were adhering to Management rules and this establishment is primarily a restaurant, so if anyone is looking for a friendly welcoming bar to have a drink and chat with friends who may dare laugh bypass this particular venue a couple of doors up the newly refurbished port of leith has a welcome to all very disappointing
