Christmas drinks are back tomorrow, just in time for Fay Friday!

The week before Christmas we will be hosting this event along with Dumfries Pilates and Barre. From 6-7pm you can enjoy a dynamic hour long Pilates class followed by some sweet treats and Prosecco in the tearoom after. We will also be joined by The Dumfries Larder, Neals Yard Skincare, Rheign Activewear and The Art Room within The Old School to give you the opportunity to treat yourself or buy some last min Christmas presents.

It’s beginning to look a lot like ..... a mild very wet winter! Not to worry our Christmas Food and Drinks menu will be available as of this Friday the 16th!

loved it .it was my birthday yest and i saw they had lemon curd cake on it was amazing .my husband is glutten free so they always have a choice of cake for him to xx

You have to go and give the place a try , I guarantee you will be back for more cake . Naughty but really nice .

Went for lunch today for the very first time. Certainly was not disappointed lunch was amazing and the hottest and best cup of tea to wash it down. Also had to sample Fat Friday cake and all I have to say is mmmmmm ��

Went for lunch today and loved everything! The lady who served us was so lovely and great at her job, really polite and accommodating. I am dairy intolerant and I also don’t eat meat so I really struggle locally to find anywhere I can eat, but there were so many options for me today and all the food was fab. Thanks so much, will defo be back ��

There not to many places to eat in Dumfries if your vegan. Glad that Nonalous always has a veggie soup on and has lost of option on the "build your own" lunch option. Staff are good at helping you find the right chutney for your salad/sandwich fillings. Five stars to a local business working with local produce! :)

Stopped in to have a look at my old school on my last trip home and decided to go into NonaLou's for a cup of coffee and a scone. Very impressed with the service and food. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Dumfries :D

NonaLou's made us a beautiful, indulgent chocolate cake covered in Kinder chocolate for a joint 21st/20th birthday! Very good price for the amount of work put into the cake and it tasted beautiful! Would definitely be back for another cake!

NonaLou's is my most favourite tearoom in Dumfries. Always a very pleasurable experience with first class very friendly staff. The food, cakes and selection of teas, coffees and drinks is fantastic! The fat Friday cake is a great crowd pleaser..! The location and setting is unique and well worth a visit... and they very kindly made my wedding cake last year! It was fab!! Thankyou again... keep up the brilliant work NonaLou's!! Xxx����

Lovely place, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The food is lovely and definitely good value. I would highly recommend and I will be back :)

Just had lunch at NonaLous today and it was fabulous! I can't eat gluten and they had a full range of dishes including sandwiches. Didn't feel limited at all and everything tasted delicious! Will definitely return!

Beautifully quirky place and freshly made delicious food. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. I had a chicken and bacon sandwich with a pot of tea and ginger cake. My boyfriend had a chicken and cheese toasted ciabatta with a coffee and chocolate peanut butter cake. It was all really tasty, my only criticism is the bacon could have been crispy but that's just personal taste and I'm sure had I asked it would have been done to perfection.

Had afternoon tea here today with my Mum after asking friends where I should go. Typically when I've been for afternoon tea I've been able to select sandwiches and cakes from a choice. This was not the case at nonolous and out of the 6 different sandwich fillings I could only eat 2. Nobody came and asked if everything was okay whilst we were eating or at the time of payment. I had been told great things about Nonolous but sadly my experience was poor and I will be reluctant to return to nonolous.

After hearing good reports about here thought I would try it. Three of us had the soup but found it quite watery and well overpriced compared to other places. Some of the other customers food looked ok and the service was pleasant enough but we'll not be rushing back.

After trying for the third time to find the place today I was so pleased to finally manage it.Walking up the stairs in the old school was great fun and the tearoom itself was quirky with lots of different artwork on the wall. When going to sit down we got told that there was no eggs in stock which was initially fine however upon reading the morning menu we realised through the limited choice available (lunchtime menu didnt start till 11.30) that eggs played a predominant part on most of it :-(

At that point we were going to get up and leave however to try not be so rude we decided to op for tea for two and a toasted bacon sandwich each. The sandwich itself was tasty enough but when I asked for tomato sauce I got told they had no tomato or brown sauce.the tea was also very weak. The experience was such a let down after looking forward to finally going so much so we decided not to stay and sample the delicious cake I've heard so much about and it's safe to say I will think twice before returning
