North Berwick face a tough season this year due to another restructure. With a new head coach, forwards coach and captain, things may be on the up again.

It is with much sadness that we must report that Bruce (Buzby) Cockburn passed away this week. Bruce had a long association with the North Berwick rugby community and was until recently a regular supporter of club matches both at home and away. He was a highly regarded scrum half who went on to captain then coach our Senior XV as well as senior teams at NBHS. He will be missed by many and our thoughts at this time are with his family.

Tomorrow’s 1st XV game against Inverleith will kick off at 3.45pm on our 3G pitch. Thanks to North Berwick Colts who have moved the kick off forward for their afternoon game to help us get our game on. Anyone who would like to help with the set up for the game would be very welcome to help at The Rec tomorrow morning at 9.30am and then around 2pm.
Good luck to Roan Frostwick and Rory Darge who start again for the Scotland Under 20’s against Friday evening at Myreside. Rory is Captain again. It is not that long ago that they made their debuts for Scotland Under 18’s against England at Preston and when Rory received his Coaches Player of the Year Award from North Berwick Under 18 coach Andy Lorimer.

Good luck to ex North Berwick RFC and North Berwick High School player, Rory Darge, as he captains the Scotland Under 20’s in Ireland this evening. Rory starts at number 8 with fellow ex North Berwick player Roan Frostwick starting at scrum half. Both Rory and Roan played all the way through minis, school and youth rugby at North Berwick.
