North Edinburgh Credit Union

Hi Everyone I am so sorry I have not been updating this page but been very busy since our AGM in March 2015 when it was decided to amalgamate with another Credit Union. This has now taken place and the new name will be North Edinburgh and Castle Credit Union. We have also changed our Common Bond and anyone who lives or works with an EH postcode cna now join the Credit Union. There will be two offices - this one at 10-12 Wardieburn Drive EH5 1BU and the other at Niddrie Mains Road, Craigmillar (sorry will get back to you with correct postal address).
Last date to apply for Xmas loan is Thursday 8th December 2015 and we will be open until Tuesday 22nd December to pay them out.

Hello everyone Sorry not been online recently but been busy organising your new credit union. You will be receiving in the post soon an invitation to come along to the office at Wardieburn Drive to hear all about it. There will soon be longer opening hours, changes to our systems, requests for member updated information, new technology etc. so please do not ignore your invite when you receive it. At present we are still only open the usual Tuesday and Thursday 4.00pm to 7.00pm

Annual General Meeting time is about to arrive and this will take place on Thursday 12th March 2015 at 6.30pm in the office of the Credit Union at 10-12 Wardieburn Drive, Edinburgh EH5 1BU. If you cannot attend please forward your apologies via telephone/answerphone on 0131 466 5006. However I would urge you to attend to discuss the future of YOUR Credit Union.
Reminders will be sent to all members via a newsletter and statement of your account as usual 3 weeks before the above date.

DID YOU KNOW IT IS ONLY 19 WEEKS TO XMAS. Why not tell all your friends that if they join the credit Union and start saving after 8 weeks they can apply for a loan. If they save until the end of November they could apply for a loan to help out at Xmas. Our office is open on a TUESDAY & THURSDAY from 4.00pm to 7.00pm. Children can also join and use the Credit union as a savings club, saving for holidays and xmas etc. The credit union are nearly at the stage of the rules being changed so that anyone living or working in the NEW common bond area can join and reap the benefits of being a member. As the credit Union grows we need more volunteers to help out in various rolls - training can be given and it is always something new to add to your CV.

We have also requested that the area we cover is increased. Just waiting on the OK from the authorities - won't be long now. Because of this we are recruiting volunteers to deal with the increase in the volume of work which will be forthcoming, DO YOU KNOW ANYONE ...WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED!!! Hello Everyone - What was your New Year Resolution this year? Could it have been to HELP your Credit Union by volunteering so that we may be open longer hours and or more days per week? If so please get in touch and we can organise training if necessary. There are many 'jobs' available in a Credit Union it is not only about finance. As this Credit Union is trying to grow we need people who are interested in Development, Marketing, Computers, Web, the ability to Talk to People and businesses plus many more opportunities. Xmas is Coming in 14 weeks time so get your applications for Loans in as soon as possible. Why not treat your family to membership of the Credit Union and get them started on a Savings pattern for their future. Hi fellow members - The Board of Directors have decided to offer Secure Loans at the rate of 1% per month interest (12.68% APR) as from now so rather than withdrawing your savings for Xmas why not keep them intact and take out a Secure Loan. Hi Everyone - it is only 15 weeks to Xmas so start saving in earnest to get your loan in time then you can spend, spend spend !!! Last application day for loans will be THURSDAY 5TH DECEMBER 2013.

Hi everyone This is just a reminder that the Summer Holidays are coming! Why not join us and save towards 'getting away from it all'. if after 8 weeks of saving you still don't have enough for that break you could apply to borrow money repaying at a much cheaper interest rate than elsewhere. Why not give us a phone or visit to find out more details?

PLEASE NOTE As from 1st April 2013 and as part of our loan application process we will carry out credit scoring via CallCredit. If your application is unsuccessful this is not necessarily due to credit scoring and may result from other factors considered in the application process.
