North Light Arts Description
We create opportunities for local and international artists to develop site-specific public art, exhibitions and community participation that is relevant and meaningful both locally and globally.
This years John Muir Artists in Residence are Alec Finlay and Hannah Imlach with an exhibition at Dunbar Town House Gallery in June. Supported by East Lothian Arts Service, Creative Scotland and East Lothian Museum Service.
We are currently collaborating with The Ridge on the development of the new community garden at The Backlands in Dunbar and delivering a project called 'Knitting the Rainbow Garden'. Putting into place the plans of the 2016 JM Residency, Kathy Beckett, with workshops in Spring and Summer for the sowing of seed, planting, spinning, natural dyeing, crochet, knitting all combining to create a collage inspired by the garden.
