North Merchiston Playgroup

We are a friendly playgroup in Edinburgh.

The main aim of the playgroup is to encourage the children to develop their social skills through play and sharing with others. They can participate in many activities such as painting, glueing, craft activities, Sand and water play, climbing frame /slide and dressing up. We also take the children to the park and do some gardening and baking. We provide a snack encouraging independence and social skills. Each session ends with song time.

There are also many books, jigsaws and activity games. Our Play leaders encourage free play - there is no formal teaching. There is ample opportunity to learn colours, numbers, weather, etc very simply.

New ideas from parents /carers are always welcome and participation is encouraged
