We humans have the wonderful capacity to travel with our minds, we can go anywhere, we can dream and have no rules. Ancient texts (Vedas) describe our bodies as having subtle energy lines and channels (chi). Chakras, wheels of light energy, are within our bodies, as we do not see this energy we do not realise it is there. We can take ourselves on a journey to discover more about the unknown parts of ourselves. Sitting or lying in a comfortable position, imagine.
The Blue Diamond
You have a circle of light at the base of your spine, your sacrum, this is your root. The colour is red like the setting sun sinking down behind the trees of a beautiful old oak forest. In the early evening as the light in the sky becomes pink the barn owl awakens. Red is your connection to the earth, your power point.
Take your thoughts up a little higher to below your navel, here you have your centre of energy, your Hara or Chi; create another circle of light which is orange and gold. Imagine you have an amber gemstone placed on your abdomen. Amber, millions of years old formed through fossilization of tree resin, gives a sense of health and well being.
Your next wheel of light is your solar plexus, your life force centre. Imagine a bright glowing sun, as you walk along a long white sandy beach. Bring your thoughts higher to the centre of your chest (sternum), here you have a wheel of light which is green. The area of your heart is compassion. Imagine an emerald on your chest which is encased in a gold heart.
Moving up your chest to the area of your throat you have a circle of aquamarine light with an inverted triangle in the middle. Make yourself as light as a feather, floating in space.
You hear your favourite song. Your song connects you to your third eye in the centre of your forehead, your Ajna Chakra. You look up into the stars, embrace your world and beyond, imagine the deepest part of our seas, the highest mountains, the green forests and jungles, crystal glaciers, rivers and lakes, you see the 'Blue Diamond'. The top of your head, your crown, is covered with purple light and the petals of a thousand flowers.
