Oak Furniture Land (Permanently Closed)

Had a great sales rep who discussed all aspects with us and threw in a couple of freebies. delivery team was really useful as we were moving into a newbuild and had to delay the delivery date a few times. delivery team had their own mats to lay out on our new floors and were very professional

Absolutely shocking attitude from the staff in this shop, especially the Manager and deputy manager. Was really looking forward to visiting this store. I travelled all the way by bus from Biggar. I have been saving for the last year. First impressions when you walk in are of quite a nice showroom . Then within seconds you are pounced on. And boy they just don't shut up. I was planning on purchasing two sofas a dining room table tv and a blanket box. They priced it all up for me and it came to around £3850 . I had worked out the price online went to the bank and drawn £3500 as it was the last weekend of the sale nd i did not want to miss out. Turns out that he had added the cost of some extras on that i had not asked for amounting to nearly £400 . They were trying to charge me £60 for delivery and £300 odd pounds for some furniture polish and a leather cleaner. When i asked to speak to the manager a young boy came bouncing over and told me thats just the way it is. That if i wanted tthe furniture I have to pay the price. And it was not his fault if I could not afford it. I was shocked that he thought it was ok to say that. I am so upset because i had been saving for ages to buy this furniture. But i just cannot afford the extra money for the polish and cleaner. In the end i left the shop . Now I will never return. They are just con men. Not sure why google has deleted my review.

The showroom looks nice and the sales person I spoke with was friendly. The custom service over the phone is a shambles. Out of 15 items 3 weremail badly damaged. Do not get a mirror from them they are all warped and make it look like you are in a fun house. 2 hours on hold and 5 calls that were dropped. Bored of these people, I'm writing this review while on hold...
