Oban Bay Fish Bar & Restaurant

Had a short amount of time and asked if they could have my lunch in front of me quickly, amazing response and speedy service. Tip was well received.

Great place to try seafood in front of the harbour and close to the distillery! They have a separate takeaway area with a shorter menu and a restaurant. We tried the mussels in tomato sauce and calamari which were both tasty (£9 each for a large portion with chips - the curry sauce was a little bland). Service was very friendly and they welcome children

After arriving in Oban & having had a hellish days travel, we stopped for a quick bite to eat. Luckily we found the Oban Bay Fish Bar...what a stroke of luck that was.
An absolutely perfect fish tea & a superb seafood pizza, soon had us forgetting about the massive traffic inspired delays that ensured we were thoroughly later than planned.
The food was excellent, the restaurant was clean & well presented, the menu was able to cater to most tastes & the cost was surprisingly reasonable.
It certainly isn't a restaurant that seeks to over-charge based on its position within a busy tourist zone.
The staff were helpful & polite.
All in all, it is a restaurant that I will definitely recommend & that I will frequently return to, each occasion that I am in town.

Ordered the mussels in white wine and cream, haddock 'n chips, and poached salmon. Excellent food!
Friendly and helpful wait staff (helped for a while during their busy dinner hours to locate a shop that sells wine - bring your own wine or beer - they provide glasses!)
Extras: nice view over the harbor

Big portions for a great price! Highly recommend the mussels. They do not serve alcohol, but they allow you to bring your own.

Visited here twice last week with my wife and toddler. My wife and I both had fish tea, and it was awesome. Very tasty and thebstaff were very helpful.

I cut off one star because fmthe shop does awesome fish, but unfortunately the childrens menu is reduced to fish fingers. They really could go the full run and put some fish goujons in the kids menu.

Simply the best fish supper I have ever had and I am a 38 year old Scot that has seen plenty!! Lovely succulent fish of the day supper and cracking chips topped off with really nice tangy red sauce! Get it in ye!
