Oban Camping and Caravanning Club Site
Oban Camping And Caravanning Club Site Description
Enjoy the beauty of Scotland's west coast and islands from our campsite in a walled garden.
Our Oban Club campsite on Scotland’s west coast enjoys a beautifully secluded location hidden in a glorious Victorian walled vegetable garden. The sheltered, level campsite is next door to Sutherland’s grove, a Forestry Commission woodland criss-crossed by colour-coded walks and cycle paths. Opposite the campsite is a marina with a little beach you can walk along.
This well-maintained, 75-pitch campsite has excellent, modern facilities including a parent and child room, washing up area and a newly refurbished toilet.
There’s a sandy beach at nearby Benderloch and the wonderful family friendly Ben Lora cafe and bookshop comes highly recommended. Take the path opposite up to the summit of Beinn Lora and you'll be rewarded with fantastic views across to Mull.
Oban, known as the seafood capital of Scotland, is 13 miles to the south of the campsite. The town is renowned for the variety and quality of seafood landed in the harbour, not surprising there are numerous great seafood restaurants in and around the town centre. Oban also boasts its own malt whisky distillery and several local micro breweries.
You can take a ferry from Oban to the Western Isles, or visit Dunollie Museum and Castle and the Oban War and Peace Museum.
Further south, the island of Easdale is well worth a drive for the breathtaking views over the Firth of Lorn.

We enjoy this lovely friendly site, it's very handy for visiting other areas. The 🐶🐶 enjoy it too! The icing on the cake this year was superb weather 🌞
Spent 2 nights here on Tuesday, the site was spotless as well as the shower blocks and toilets. ...the staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back we had a lovely time x
Pristine site within a Victorian Walled Garden quiet and secluded recommend this site to anyone visiting this area . Facilities are immaculate and very dog friendly.. With great walking areas nearby..
Nice little friendly site very clean and well run. Stopped there for three nights and had lovely time.
Lovely walled garden site nice flowers and helpful staff
Lovely and unique site in a walled garden. Fabulous facilities, lovely people running the place, all very nice. TV reception patchy, mobile signal good, Club wifi troublesome but that could have been some greedy camper using skype or downloading. Bit industrial over the road but walk down the side of the estate to the beach for nice views and watch how the fishing and timber industries go about their day.
Loved the site. Husband and wife team here are fantastic. My partner and myself will definitely be back again.
Only 6 miles from Oban , takes about 10 mins in car. Toilet block spotless .
Great for getting around on our bikes , lovely clean ,quiet site
Smashing site with lovely facilities. It's a shame it rained all the time we was there. Only reason I gave it 4 not 5 is that it's 12 miles from Oban. That's like putting the Doncaster C&C club at Barnsley 😂 Would love to know the history of the site and the wall enclosure.
Lovely walled garden site which is very quiet. Both site and amenities are spotless. I would like more walking routes close to the site.
Location:- you would have to drive to nearest village. Bring gallons of midge repellant.
Nice site but not child friendly at all. Kids out playing at 9.55pm (with a 10pm curfew) and told to go back to their tents/caravans. Fun here is not an option. No play facilities (told to go on grassy area outside of the site perimeter ). Should make it adults only - not what I expected from Camping and caravaning club .
