It’s great to see Magda and Ron and the Drambulance back in Oban, on their way to TMF.
We hope the weather will be as good for TMF as it was for Oban Live. Hope everyone going has a great time 😁

The Waverley passing the campsite just now ☀️
Another lovely sunny day in Oban. Plenty of space available for camping tonight if you would like to come along ☀️ ☀️
The group from Princeton University Geosciences Department saw a beautiful Oban sunset last night soon after their arrival in one of our group fields by the sea.
Tried the pods for the first time for 2 nights. Really great took our sleeping bags but didnt need them it keeps alot of heat inside like a wee oven. There is a kettle, toaster, microwave and 2 ring electric stove and a fridge with freezer and we made good use of the tv-dvd player at night. Next time we come back we will probably take one for a week great site and the newer shower/toilet block is really nice inside which is a few minutes walk from the pods. The pod is just as good and warmer than a caravan inside. Look forward to coming back soon :-)
Stayed three nights lovely wee place
Really friendly welcome at reception. Lady went to check to see if there were any electric hook up points left. Campsite was clean as were the facilities and even though it was a very busy weekend it was a relaxing and peaceful stay. The views from the bottom road were beautiful. Look forward to returning
Probably the most picturesque camp site in Scotland!Just home from our second visit and can't wait for our next visit .Good facilities and stunning scenery . Quiet and peaceful perfect for a relaxing break
Just back from a week in Lodge 3 and had a fantastic time. The staff are lovely, the surroundings beautiful and the Lodge and site all round is spotless and well kept. Will definetly be back next year :)
Just back from a relaxing 2 night stay in one of the camping pods! Campsite is fantastic, clean, tidy and very peaceful! Pod was great. They are compact but all we were needing and again very clean and tidy. Stunning scenery and we were very lucky with the weather too! We will be back!!
I think this site is one of my favourite camping spots the view is just stunning, our second visit after ten years and still as I remembered, beautiful thanks
Having a lovely time at oban caravan park... so many beautiful places near by.
Thank you Kevin and staff xx
Great spot! Very friendly staff. Clean facilities with lots of space. Price value is also great.
We had a great time!!!
Brilliant set up. Stayed in a pod and was blown away as to how well equipped it was! Definitely will be back.
Been going there for around 12years either with touring caravan tent or campervan just spent a week in a static caravan had a great week so peaceful everything you need not far away Always go back
Very reasonable clean toilets and shower block good electric hook up fantastic views from some of the higher pitches will be visiting again soon T5 AW 🚐
Stayed Sat 21st Apr. Although only pitched here for one night we thought it was good. Staff were very friendly on arrival and very helful. The tent pitch location was stunning. The toilet n shower facilities also good n clean..although the usual people disrepecting them by leaving used tissues lying around doesnt help. There was a mop provided too which going with other comments people being to lazy to give a wee mop up after showering. There was an additional kitchen facilities too. Overall lovely and clean little site for the money..... stunning views..we will defo be coming back.
Had a brilliant time
Love the pod. Plenty of space inside.
Nice and clean.
Would go back
We found it a bit expensive and not much there. Could do with a place to eat and have a drink.
In this day and age of technology you would think wifi single would be strong enough for use anywhere on the site, but it isn't - even if you pay for it.
Chalet 1 could do with some modernisation as it has the old dank caravan smell in it, and the roof is covered in moss, it seems that if you have a dog you are expected to stay in a kennel! The balcony boards and steps are lethal (very slippery) when wet. Overall the site is well enough maintained, and the sea view is very nice, don't think I will go back but please do not let that put you off from giving it a try.
Came across this place by accident, just saw a sign on the road, staff were helpful. Shower block very dated and only two showers in men’s so had to que up. Outdated and water pressure very low but lovely and hot. We were put in a very shady spot so lost out on the afternoon and evening sunshine. So I moved our chairs in to a spot and hit told to move as others were coming? But they weren’t. Handy fir a stopover .
Not the best campsite for access to Oban. We booked for 2 days and regretted it afterwards. The bus service doesn’t run during the school holidays and it’s a 3 mile, £8 taxi ride each way into town. The WiFi at reception is unusable, despite being the only person trying to use it early in the morning. The staff are rude and shushed me for sneezing! On the positive side, it’s cheap enough at £21 and has a shop.
This review is a little late as my visit was 8 August 2017 and was supposed to be until 12 August 2017 I found the site earlier on in the year the gentlemen I spoke to was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with that part of my experience I have no complaints about very helpful and courteous on arrival at the campsites things didn't go so well very abrupt sort of take it or leave it attitude we paid for the appropriate number of nights and where advised where we could pitch our caravan unfortunately there had been bad weather and a lot of the pictures were out of use which I can understand but where we was allocated was absolutely jampacked full for to close in my opinion for fire regulations it was difficult to get your car at the side and open the doors we were packed in like sardines very close at the back so not happy with pitch
Then I went to fill my water barrels and found the water to be discoloured and a weird taste I asked one of the site people he said that is perfectly normal for around here it's the peat you will be okay everybody in the town is the same well that wasn't pleasing and when in the town the water was perfectly clear that is the first complaint
The toilet block was permanently flooded and only had two showers limited toilets which meant when most people require a shower there was long queues and waiting the same goes for the toilets quite dated and not enough for the amount of people I can't really say whether they were cleaned regularly or not as the amount of people using them well you can imagine they didn't stay clean for long
The grass and campsite was generally well presented obviously with the amount of rain quite slippy for most vehicles I didn't struggle as I had four-wheel-drive
There wasn't really a view from the pitch we were on as just looking at other caravans and campers
I would say very expensive for the facilities offered or should I say lack of too let's
On the ticket your receipt it says no refunds given I can understand why when we were there I spoke to a couple of people and they were leaving early
We only stop two nights and decided to leave that is how we felt totally disappointed and definitely would not recommend this site to anybody
Other things we felt unhappy about was the road although not the responsibility of the campsite it was a total nightmare getting in and out in the daytime although the road is quite capable of taking caravans and campers there's a couple of businesses I think one of them was a dive centre and a ferry unfortunately due to not enough parking at either of them people were leaving their cars half on the grass half on the road which seriously restricted the flow of traffic especially with somebody with a wide motorhome or a caravan absolute nightmare getting in and out I doubt they would get planning permission nowadays as restricted access on the road
I would never recommend this site to anybody which is a shame as it is in a lovely location but there were too many things against it
