Toilets and shower block are ok. The shop isn't bad. What it has got are magnificent views and a nice walk into a fabulous little town. Well priced aswell and good ground for pitching tents. We keep going back.

Awful place. Charged for an electricity hookup that didn't work, despite being told it was 'fixed'. Very muddy site with no hard standing. Toilets substandard, hand dryers etc do not work and the water in the men's ablutions was cold. The reception closes regularly and puts a 'back in 5 minutes' sign on the door, but you have to wait much longer - this morning it was half an hour, very inconvenient as it's a fair walk down to reception. On the first night my husband contracted food poisoning from one of their advertised local eateries. We had to leave and asked for a refund on the nights which we hadn't used yet (we had paid for 2 nights upon arrival but only used one). We were abruptly told that no refunds were allowed as it was 'policy'. This policy is apparently written on their leaflet - no terms and conditions are signed. After a short impolite conversation from the man at reception he said the best he could offer was a credit note. The person in the queue behind empathised with me and said that as it's a nice day he'll stay another night and use my credit, but then the man at reception refused to allow that also. I asked if I could use the credit in the shop, he refused, only on another nights camping. I said I couldn't as my husband had food poisoning and clearly it's not suitable to camp, he asked 'why isn't camping suitable for someone with food poisoning.' I reminded him that he was in breach of the trading standards, and the sales of goods act, he said he didn't care. My husband and I are both serving soldiers, so have much experience in the great outdoors and love camping usually, but I have to say that this is the worst experience we have ever had, and that is largely due to the rude, arrogant, abnoxious and money orientated member of staff that works in reception. Appalling place, more expensive than average for no good reason, would never go their again.

If you're camping take your own pans & utensils etc. There's a gas stove and microwave and not much else. There's also a tumble dryer and clothes washing machine which is pretty handy and cheap. Games room is pretty basic you can play pool and watch TV etc. There's no buses during school break so taxi from Oban cost us £7-£8. Finally views are incredible and plenty of space for us to camp when we rocked up early august around 3pm.

This is a huge campground. There is a nice store with basic groceries. There are toilets located in convenient locations. We were in a tent so all we needed was a bit of grass, but we found a nice flat spot. We walked around outside 9f the camp and the views are beautiful. The only bad thing I can say about it is the tiny one track road to get up to the campground.

Despite the narrow lane entrance the site is brilliant. Because you can pitch almost anywhere it gives the site a more casual atmosphere. There is a choice of pitch for anybodies taste. I had read a review before we decided to go there about the toilet and shower blocks being dirty. I found no problem with the cleanliness except when I followed a lady who had washed her long hair & trod a lot of grass in. She made no attempt to clear the plughole or clean the cubicle even though a mop was there to use. Don't blame the staff blame the people who use them.
Very relaxing site, good dog walking area.

Well worth it even just for the views from the site and very friendly and very helpful staff

Amazing location with views over Kerrera Island. Grounds are well kept. Static caravans have been replaced since we were last there, more camping pods have been added. Close to Oban with all its facilities but not too close you don't feel you're properly in the countryside.

Reasonably priced.
Unfortunately whoever cut the grass, in the field where I was camping, didn't bother to collect it so there was wet cut grass sticking up to everything. I saw some of the campers having to use a rake to clean up their bit of field.
Should have been done by the staff really.

I came here just to camp overnight, the staff were welcoming and pleasant, facilities on site were great and the views were amazing looking down on to Oban Bay and off down the valley at the opposite side
