User

Well done, loved it. It was awesome. First time we were in Oban Live, but will be back next year.

User

Well done all the organizers, bands and events staff, you smashed it again, events getting bigger and better each year, crowd were totally awesome also have to mention Oban’s finest ( police) here with there enthusiastic common sense approach to the event and getting into the spirit of it all.

User

This was our first Oban live and it more than lived upto expectations, great bands, however I can't figure out why Admiral Fallow and Roddy Hart were there as although they are very good i felt the crowd were not that interested in them, they did not let that distract them from being completely professional and doing their set.

The bar was a bit hectic on Friday given the weather, which was unbelievably awesome, not really unexpected, it was better on Saturday.

The food vendors were basic but more than adequate, a really well organised wee festival made perfect by the friendliness of the locals brilliant settings and amazing weather, I look forward to seeing Skerryvore skipinnish tide lines manran next year with perhaps maybe Gary numan and joeboxers in the line up also mixing it up a little, well done guys a very good weekend

I was joking about Gary numan and joeboxers btw

User

This is our third year at Skerryvore Decade/Oban Live. Like with Decade, the bar on Friday was a shambles. All stops were obviously pulled out to rectify this for Saturday. This is why this is one of our favourite events of the year guys. You listen to the people and immediately make the positive changes which are required.

Great bands, great weather and all in all just a brilliant big party with the nicest, friendliest people in the UK. Be very proud! See you next year

User

Third year in a row, all fantastic. However have to query the "have been" bands like top loader, hue and cry and kt tunstall last year. All rubbish, not able to enthuse the crowd at all. Appreciate the different genres of music - K9 lads were great, but a wee bit more thought needs as to who plays and not necessarily second from top billing. Glad we can still get our chairs in. Will be back next year

User

Loved it! Fantastic organisation, friendly staff & brilliant music! The whole family had smiles on their faces from start to finish! Thank you Oban Live! Can’t wait for next year!

User

Had a great weekend. Friday night bar fiasco was a bit disappointing but was sorted for Saturday great turn around. Skippinish were amazing top loader knocked it out of the park. Admiral fallow very poor. Tide lines and we banjo 3 absolutely rocked the festival. Hue and cry no idea why they turned up. Skerryvore were as always the outstanding band of the festival they do Scotland proud with their pioneering music.

User

Great event, well organised & incredibly good weekend! Well done Oban live, recognition also to oban police for keeping everyone safe & participating in community spirit, well done everyone. 🕺🏼💃😎🍹

User

Fourth year for us and gets better every year , great craic , great crowd , great music and great weekend . Highlights for me include hermitage green , skippinish and skerryvore but all good . Another highlight was seeing the two girls who managed to use the gents urinal pods to pee in ! I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes ! Great event , well done to all involved .

User

First time i have been and certainly won't be the last! Great bands and a well run event. I love going to Oban anyway but this weekend was amazing

User

First time at this festival and we will definitely be back! It was a fantastic weekend, amazing bands, great people and very well organised. Few issues with the bar but waiting wasn't an issue for me, got to know alot of people! Thanks for a great weekend

Bars on Friday night but they were right on it on sat and the sun was shining Second year here for us and. cant wait for next year well done all involved in the set up of the weekend 😎☀️🎼🎤🍾👍

User

Brilliant.. Our second time with all our friends for Oban Live and will def be back next year... Outstanding bands in Skippinish Skerryvore and the fantastic Wee Banjo 3.. All the bands were great.. Perhaps Hue and Cry were wrongly timed and RoddyHart. Who I enjoyed was out of place but altogether a fantastic two nights... Weather fab again and we'll done for listening and sorting the bar out after Friday... Thanks and well done to all of you at Oban Live..

User

Brilliant two days cant wait for the next one.

User

Brilliant festival. Perfect venue ( who doesn't love Oban?!)

World class bands, enjoyed in a friendly atmosphere.

Bar problems from Friday seemed sorted on Saturday

Tidelines were amazing.

As were Skippinish, Manran, Skerryvore & The pipeband and We Banjo 3. Great that they chose to play Oban Live!

I think Hue & Cry and Toploader were for a different genre, didn't really fit the bill for this. Didn't enjoy either of them.

I think the beauty of Oban live is its traditional/folk music roots. It'd be good to stick with this theme .

It's difficult to please everyone of course.

Overall it was a brilliant weekend of live musical entertainment .

Lots of hard work and organisation !

Looking forward to Oban Live 2018!! Slainte

User
