"On the third night we were docked on the anchor. It was a starry night and all the young folk went up on deck and we just had this massive conversation and honestly it was the best thing ever. We all sat together talking about the voyage, telling stories and laughing it was amazing. I found the whole experience amazing and I have applied to do volunteering with OYT Scotland." - Clackmannanshire CLD participant who sailed on a Cashback for Communities voyage

At OYT Scotland, we take to sea people from a range of backgrounds, including young carers. Keira Reilly (15) sailed on a voyage with Helensburgh and Lomond Carers SCIO and here she tells her story...

OYT Scotland is thrilled to announce we've received funding from Cashback for Communities, the scheme that reinvests criminal assets into life-changing community projects. As one of 24 organisations to receive funding, we'll be working with young people from across Scotland, helping divert them away from potentially criminal or anti-social behaviour to steer them into positive destinations through youthwork at sea. #youthworkonthewaves #youthworkchangeslives

Hugely popular OYT Scotland volunteer, Claire Quinn, has taken ill and is currently in hospital. Those who know Claire, know she loves to talk(!!!) and she is craving some company! She has asked us to let you know that she would really love to have some visitors from her old OYT Scotland friends. She is in the Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley so drop us a PM for her number if you're able to pop in. She would love to see you.
