User

really enjoyed my experience at the Odeon Luxe at Glasgow Quay the place was spotlessly clean and the toilets were immaculate thank you for a really relaxing visit ,the staff were very well mannered, and that makes a huge difference .

Went to the cinemas after a horrendous 9 months of pregnancy. I’m surprised to say I actually LOVE the new layout, menu, seating and screens! Exactly what I’ve wanted from a cinema experience since moving back from the Middle East! Will be a visitor more often! The only thing lacking from Odeon, is a cinema card similar to Cineworld. The points system is good but would prefer to pay a monthly fee and watch as many films as I want!

User

Was great to watch the new Avengers with my other half. Such confortable seats. Although i was confused when booking online as i couldnt collect my tickets at the machine so then had to stand in the queue and wait. But the lassie who served me was polite enough to explain.

This was my first visit and I really enjoyed the experience of the recliner seats. The staff were amazing and so helpful. We had a couple of issues which were sorted out very quickly. I will definitely be back.

The best cinema I have been to in a while. Will definitely be going back.

The First class of Cinemas. You must try the iSense. What an experience.

Terrific cinema experience, what's not to like? Extra leg room, not needing to get up when someone is walking through! Bigger screen added to the movie experience and the comfort of seats with recliner just topped the afternoon 5 stars

Not one for the cinema but I would go back here... great experience

My 7 year old son and I loved it. Was very comfortable as it’s the 1st time in the reclining chairs. My son is autistic but can handle mainstream viewings so made him more comfortable and fidgeting less

User

We have limitless cards so thought could book seats at home and just print off when we got there. Nope. That facility is not available at the quay so have to queue with everyone else defeating the purpose. When are you getting this facility on your machines. We used to have Cineworld passes and it was available so if you didn't want drinks etc you still had your ticket to walk in. Would save a lot of people queuing too. Would have have given 5 stars but for this.

User

The Lux cinema is lovely, looks very modern and love the new drinks machines where you can mix up your drinks! The staff were all lovely and helpful as usual. Recliner seats are awesome!

Only issue was there were a group of people chatting and taking flash photographs at various points through the film. It was a late showing and there were only 10/12 of us in there so if you went to get staff to help they'd know who it was, plus you'd miss part of the movie which isn't fair. The screens are meant to be checked every half hour and no one came in once through the entire movie, was pretty disappointed and irritated by that.

But usually this is a really good place to go see a film! X

User

Lovely new & modern, recliner seats are awesome. But it seems they forgot to clean the cinema room before letting the new sitting in. So there were 2 members of staff in there trying to clean up around us. (Although if the previous viewers had manners they would have taken their rubbish with them).

User

Excellent cinema, extremely comfortable seats, the iSense viewing experience is great, the foyer is large and airy, and the staff are friendly. So why only four stars? I hear you ask - well, you have taken away the excellent ice cream bar, where we could indulge in two or more scoops of interestingly flavoured ice cream - now all we have is little tubs of Häagen-Dazs. Bring back proper ice cream, and I’ll get the review back up to five stars.

User

We took my husband to see Solo tonight for Father’s Day. We arrived 15 minutes early and joined the queue for popcorn only to discover that all the tills were not manned and the queue was hardly moving. After 25 minutes in the queue and having missed all the trailers I gave up on buying refreshments when my husband came to get me because the film was starting. It was very disappointing and definitely affected my level of enjoyment.

User

They do have dingy seats but if you are wanting sweets there isn’t a lot of choice and the ice blast machine was not working so couldn’t get that was a bit upset but got Coca Cola instead .

User

The recliner seats & screen is great but the big let down is the self serve juice area...in fact it’s FILTHY! The full area is covered in sticky ice blast syrup, can’t put your food down on the shelves to do your juice as your food would be stuck to it! Feet stuck to the floor, it’s just a mess . Ladies toilets out of order too so communal loos using the gents, only 5 working toilets in a cinema of this size isn’t really ideal. Don’t think I will be back to the Quay in a hurry.

User

The Seats were good very comfortable the only bad thing was ice blast machines weren't working again. Was promised free ones by a member of the staff for after the movie but when we came out he wasn't there and they still weren't working.

User

Our first visit to the new look Odeon Luxe and the recliners are a hit. However, my daughter decided to buy a Tango ice drink ... and I nearly choked at the £4.80 price tag for a cup of frozen water and some flavoured syrup. Just less than half the price of a seat. Overpricing of snacks at cinema isn't new but it's a complete rip off and needs to be addressed.

User

Only one ticket machine working. No ice blast machines working. Theatre not ready so chap asked us to wait- then forgot about us so only when he started directing people to screen did we ask and he said oh yes it’s open. Pretty poor Odeon

User

I had pre booked tickets for peter rabbit for my nephews birthday and there were people in our seats and there were no other seats so I went and got a member of staff while my 5 year old nephew sat on the stairs at the side watching it, so we waited 10 minutes waiting on a manager standing on the stairs and when she came she told us that everyone was in the wrong seats and she would have to stop the film and put everyone in the right seats, so she told us there was another showing in another screen starting in 20 minutes so we went to that screen and sat through all the adverts and first 10 minutes of the film again and we were not seated together, as it was such a long time for my 5 year old nephew to be sitting we actually left half way through the film because he was too hot. It actually spoiled our day

User

Hello, I have made a booking: 2287633022. It is for “Everybody’s talking about Jamie” in the Odeon Luxe Glasgow Quay, however, I am absolutely outraged at the discrimination shown by Odeon (especially as I used to work for Odeon). I am disabled and have a CEA card. I do not use a wheelchair all of the time. In order to book online and use my CEA Card I HAD to book a wheelchair space. This is beyond ridiculous. I’m sure in this day and age the odeon can understand that not all disabled people use a wheelchair! I cannot come in to book as it’s too far to come along just to book tickets and I can’t do it over the phone as I have severe anxiety. Regardless of the fact that online booking is my only option it should be available to everyone. Why are we treated differently and expected to only need a carer if we are wheelchair bound? I am appalled by this discrimination. In the mean time I will need to hope that the film doesn’t book out or I will need to bring my wheelchair even if not needed that day and will lose out on the luxury of sitting in the recliners which is the whole point of the Luxe cinema.

User

Great big seats are great but if they are broken it seems to be a problem they don’t know how to deal with. Went to Solo yesterday, 2 kids and 2 adults. Bought 4 seats together (obviously) and my seat wasn’t reclining back at all. Really was sold on this cinema based on the seats as usually go to a different cinema with decent popcorn. Tried to press the button but no joy, really just wanted the footrest up. Anyhow, staff didn’t bother their arse, just offered free bag of sweets. The ads had only just begun so staff wouldn’t have interrupted the film at all. Asked to move seats but was told there wasn’t 4 seats together available.

Waited until the movie started and moved to a seat behind us, 1 of 6 consecutive seats empty in the same row. The rest stayed in their original seats but the cinema was no even half full. Would have been nothing to accommodate our group but there was a visible lack of interest in sorting the issue. Really disappointing considering how simple a solution was to offer.

Now the seats are great when they work, and plenty of space in each row for people to get in/out but real disappointed with lack of concern from staff who appeared to be uninterested. And the popcorn is rubbish.

User

Would give zero stars if I could. Terrible service from staff, waited in a queue for around 25 mins (which should’ve really only been 5-10) as staff seemed to be floating around talking to each other with only 3 actually serving. Eventually got to the front and there were no seats left for chosen screening even though I had already pre purchased the tickets. No offer of my money back - just told ‘you’ll have to use them another time’. Avoid.

User

Website seating plan does not match cinema.

On website I booked 2 double seats. In cinema it was half a double seat, a double seat and half a double seat. Not much of a luxury experience for us!!

User

I went along to see new Spielberg movie .awful experience as I was unable to hear the first25 mins .then they restarted the movie.50 mins past and then th movie started with sound .i will go back to my usual Vue cinema.loved the recliningchair though

User

Disappointing putting a very popular punjabi movie on in the smallest screen with around 40 seats!!

There are thousands of Punjabi people living in Glasgow!

Movie was sold out everyday leaving so many people unable to get a ticket. It’s always the same with punjabi movies. You would think by now yous would use your common sense and put them in a bigger screen or leave it on for a few more days so more people get a chance to watch.

Was offered to watch another movie and guess what.............yes it was in a big screen with around 20 people in watching....pathetic!!

Very disappointed with you Glasgow odeon!!!

User

Booked tickets for The Incredibles 2, was selling out so ended up picking seats in the front row and due to the fact that there were no staff checking tickets we arrived to find there were more people than seats so people had not only taken our seats but had also decided to sit on the floor along side them. Approached the manager to see about getting the issue sorted, he then asked another member of staff to help so upon returning to the screen with her she seemed to get a no from the gents sitting in our seats and rather than do something to aid them on their way she knelt along side them to watch the pre-show!! Went back to get the manager again, this time the guys left our seats (but still stayed, and were allowed to, around the sides and back of the screen.) but by this point we had missed the first ten minutes of our show. Down hill from here as the drinks we bought for a tenner had the machines switched off so we never actually got them.

Ladies toilets out of order too so communal loos using the gents, only 5 working toilets in a cinema of this size isn’t really ideal. Don’t think I will be back to the Quay in a hurry.

The Seats were good very comfortable the only bad thing was ice blast machines weren't working again. Was promised free ones by a member of the staff for after the movie but when we came out he wasn't there and they still weren't working.

Only one ticket machine working. No ice blast machines working. Theatre not ready so chap asked us to wait- then forgot about us so only when he started directing people to screen did we ask and he said oh yes it’s open. Pretty poor Odeon

Avoid.

Website seating plan does not match cinema.

On website I booked 2 double seats. In cinema it was half a double seat, a double seat and half a double seat. Not much of a luxury experience for us!!
