OGSoc are very excited to announce a practical obstetric skills night for anyone in Years 3, 4, 5 or BMSc! We have some fantastic O+G Doctors who have volunteered their time to teach at this event. This is aimed at people who are interested in O+G and want to have an advantage on their next clinical placement!
There will be a short introduction then you will be split into groups to rotate round the following stations: ŌĆó PPH ŌĆó Eclampsia... ŌĆó Shoulder dystocia ŌĆó Assisted vaginal delivery We would recommend that you have a quick look over the conditions so that you can get the most out of these sessions! They are designed to give you the information you need to manage these women and you will then have the opportunity to practice some clinical skills.
There are only 24 spaces for this event so priority is given to our members who have already joined the society (paid their ┬Ż1 membership fee) before spaces will be allocated to non-members.
This costs ┬Ż3 for members and ┬Ż4 for non-members and you will be given pizza and snacks before the teaching starts!
The sign up link will be posted in this facebook event on Thursday at 1.15pm so set a reminder to make sure you wonŌĆÖt miss out!
We will email with spaces over the weekend and will collect the ┬Ż3/┬Ż4 on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd!
