Old High St Stephen'S Church, Inverness

Church of Scotland Parish Church in Inverness, Scotland: the Old High Church in Church Street in the city centre; and St Stephen's in Southside Road.

We serve a parish which includes some of the growing suburbs and much of the city centre of Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Our parish takes in various districts of Inverness, in whole or in part, including Crown, Drummond, Lochardil, Culduthel and Slackbuie. We have chaplaincy links to schools within the parish- Lochardil Primary School and Inverness Royal Academy. We also have important links to the Highland Council’s Inverness city committee, as we host the annual Kirking of the Council . We support Inverness Street Pastors, who operate from our Old High halls in the city centre. We are also involved in the Inverness Night Care Shelter for rough sleepers, and with our friends at Crown Church, with the Olive Grove tearoom.

Although we are one congregation, we worship in two beautiful places of worship- St Stephen’s Church in Southside Road, and the Old High Church in the city centre.

We are a parish church of Scotland’s national church, the Church of Scotland.

The Minister is the Rev Peter W Nimmo BD ThM, who is a graduate of Glasgow University and Princeton Theological Seminary.
