Gill and Steve have had a passion for photography all of their lives, we see images that connect with us on another level, images that inspire us every day, we want to create these types of images for you.
Steve sees the world in light and composition. Since gaining his Photography badge as a boy scout in the 80's Steven has been taking images, constantly pursuing that single moment that says a thousand words or more. Working in Scotland's screen industries since 2001, Steve has shot motion pictures for corporate communications, commercials, music videos and short films, he has a wonderful eye for composition and will help you feel relaxed in front of camera.
Gill has been delivering fabulous make up since 1997, after studying at the highly acclaimed Delmar academy in London under Oscar winning make up artists like Tom Smith (Indiana Jones, The Shining, Star Wars). Gillian has worked on television programs (Outlander, Eve, River City, Waterloo Road, Pramface), commercials, corporate communications, feature films, magazine shoots and more. Doing make up for the likes of Michel Roux Jr, Ed Sheernan, Birdy and Kate Dickie, to name a few.
In 2016 a miracle happened, Gill gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Oliver Samuel. The onus on the future had never been so great. Steve and Gill came to the conclusion that they would love to work together more and toward something that Oliver himself may want to take over one day. It felt only right that our new direction in life was named after our son, and so Oliver Samuel Photography was born.
Steve and Gill pride themselves in creating a relaxed shoot environment where the best possible image can be achieved. We provide actor headshot, creative portrait, children's and corporate photography.
