The British Museum's new Islamic Exhibition: The Albukhary Foundation Gallery of the Islamic World.
In short summary, the collection showcases the diversity of Islamic cultures of the Middle East, Turkey, Central Asia, South and South East Asia. It is about the connection between Islam and the Ancient world but also Islam’s connection with the Mediterranean and European world.
The exhibition opens at the British Museum on Friday 19th October and is completely free to visit. During the opening weekend from Friday 19th October, the British Museum will host special events from talks, films and more to celebrate the Islamic Galleries. Again this is free to attend.

Dhul-Hijjah and Eid-ul-Adha 2018/1439
Eid-ul-Adha will be on Tuesday 21st August insha'Allah as Sunday 12th August has been confirmed as 1st Dhul-Hijjah. The Day of 'Arafah is therefore on Monday 20th August.
Many scholars have stated that daytimes of the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are more virtuous than the ten daytimes of the last ten days of Ramadan so please make the most of these blessed days insha'Allah.

On the authority of Abū Hurayra (RA), the Messenger of Allah salallahu alayhi wasalam said: “There are no days more beloved to Allah that He be worshipped in them than the ten days of Dhul-Ḥijjah. Each day of fasting in it is equivalent to the fast of an entire year. And each night standing in prayer is equivalent to standing in prayer on the Night of Power (Laylat al-Qadr).” [Sunan al-Tirmidhi: vol.iii/Kitāb al-ṣawm 6, bāb 52:hadith 758]

Salahtul Janazah will be at Omar Faruque Mosque, Kirkwood Rd, Cambridge, CB4 2PF on Thursday 2nd August 2018 after Zuhur prayer which starts at 1.30 pm.

The last 10 days of Ramadan started from today. Tonight's Taraweeh will be on the first odd night, the 21st of Ramadan insha'Allah.
The blessed night of Laylatul Qadr can be found in any of the last 10 nights of Ramadan, which are the most blessed nights of the year. As such, we should increase our worship and devotion during this period.
Aisha raḍyAllāhu 'anha (may Allāh be pleased with her) reported: With the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'al...ayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) used to tighten his waist belt (i.e. work harder) and used to pray the whole night, and used to keep his family awake for the prayers. [Bukhari]
Aisha raḍyAllāhu 'anha (may Allāh be pleased with her) reported: I asked: “O Messenger of Allah! If I realise Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?” He ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) replied, “You should supplicate:
