New in 📢📢 Had a lot of people asking so here it is the new md20/20 and the new strongbow

Michael has been busy making a protective screen to protect our customers and staff as well as their families that they’re going home to after their shifts
We’re open 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 8pm on Sunday’s at the moment
We hope all our customers are keeping safe during this time 💙

We closed early tonight at 8.30pm as it wasn’t busy at all which we were expecting to happen as people get used to staying at home. At the moment it’s just trial and error seeing what works and what times we should go with. We will be playing it by day for the time being seeing what each day brings. I’ll do my very best to keep this page updated asap whenever there are changes Thank you to everyone for bearing with us in these uncertain times

‼️‼️COVID-19 update ‼️‼️ With the most recent speech from the prime minister stating that the UK is on lockdown we will be staying OPEN. We sell food, medicine, gas and electric top ups, which all fall under the essentials we need. At the moment we’re opening at our normal time of 7am tomorrow and we’ll go from there if the shop is a lot quieter than normal (which we expect it to be) with everyone being told stay at home we will change opening hours accordingly.
... This is a very surreal experience for everyone right now and we can only play it by day so please look out for updates.
Also the government also advised tonight that only two customers should enter a shop at a time, we’re taking this very seriously to protect not only all our customers but also our staff and our families at home.
Please only leave your home for essential items.
Let’s stop the spread of this awful virus, stay healthy and get back to normal as soon as possible.

COVID-19 UPDATE Just a quick update regarding the questions we’re being asked in the shop.
We are still open and we will remain open until told otherwise from the government.
... We’re still receiving orders from 3 different wholesales so we still have ample stock and anything we do run out of will always be restocked the following day.
We also still have fresh bakery every day from Johnstone’s and The Home Bakery.
GAS AND ELECTRIC I have been made aware people are panicking about shops potentially closing and them not being able to get gas and electric. If that was to happen (which we’re really hoping to avoid) I wouldn’t see anyone stuck I’m always just a phone call or a message away!
If anyone is in self isolation and needs anything give us a phone and if we can help out we will.
And lastly if there’s anything anyone is struggling to get locally please don’t hesitate to ask if I can order it in for you and I will do my best to get it for you!

As most people will now know the supermarkets are selling out of toilet roll, medicine, pasta and cooked meat.
We still have plenty toilet roll, paracetamol and pasta and we cut fresh spam every night. However please be mindful that we are a small shop and we have many customers who rely on us day to day.
In the shop we are taking preventive measures to keep the shop as clean as possible. We’re cleaning the card and cash machines as much as possible and handles on the chiller...s, freezers and the front door.
