O'Neill Property

O'Neills have looked after our property with professionalism and friendliness. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and colleagues. We have continuous occupancy, they fix any problems efficiently and re Greta people to deal with. If only other companies could give such great service.

I have let my flat through O'Neill for 15 years and the service has always been excellent. I especially appreciate their good advise on how to keep the tenants happy and how to look after the property. I am sure their philosophy is: happy tenant = happy landlord = happy letting agent. The same Edinburgh manager has been in place all the time I have been with O'Neill and is consistently helpful and professional.

I don't know what all these negative reviews are on about?!? I am a previous tenant and have had no such problems with ONeills. Whenever we called them with a problem the staff were always very courteous and helpful, often getting a contractor (who we usually found to be excellent) out to us ASAP. Regarding the two months advanced rent, we understood the concept completely and found the lease signing an ease free process. I would completely recommend this agency to any potential tenant!!

From the initial contact, moving in and discussing mattings post move ALL the staff at O'Neills have been nothing but professional, polite and friendly. We would highly recommend anyone to use them. A great firm!

O'neills Edinburgh is one of those letting agents where everything is good, nice and smooth until something happens...

If you're lucky enough to have no issues with your property, they O'Neils is fine.

On the other hand, if anything happens they will do EVERYTHING to spend as little money and make as little effort to help as possible. Money is the only thing which matters for the company - not the tenant, not the customer...
Not even mentioning that they to loads of stuff illegaly such as asking for 2 months rent worth deposit for which you will not even get a Safe Deposit Certificate

Called this agency to ask a question about a property they had advertised. The person who answered actually laughed at me over the phone and made me feel like an idiot for asking. If they can't be professional on the phone, how will they behave if you ever need anything? Not impressed.

In short: Avoid O'Neill

We rented a flat for a year. Stay was fine, without any major problems, although they stopped replying when they were supposed to return part of deposit.

To be clear, they asked us to provide them with bank details where they will return remaining deposit. That was the last thing I heard from them regarding the payment. Reminded them the issue twice by email, and went to complain in person. This review is written after 8 months since bank details were requested from me, and 2 months since my complaint in person.
