Thanks to everyone who donated gifts through Martin Day and his lovely helpers. The Open Door Elf’s will be sorting through these and out delivering parcels to the young people for Christmas. Well done to everyone who was involved, it really makes a difference.

Hi all,
West Lothian MP, Martyn Day, has very kindly launched a gift appeal on behalf of Open Door Accommodation Project and Newlands House, local organisations who support homeless and vulnerable young people in West Lothian.
Martyn notes ‘We are appealing for donations of Christmas gifts such as sweets, toiletries and other gifts for young people aged 16 to 21. Any donation, big or small, can really make a huge difference for our young adults who have found
... themselves in a difficult situation, often through no fault of their own, and are trying their best to turn their lives around. Everyone deserves to wake up to a gift on Christmas day’.
Gifts can be handed in to Martyn Day MP, 62 Hopetoun Street Bathgate, martyn.day.mp@parliament.uk or telephone 01506 654415, until 22nd December, or alternatively, please contact me directly if you are unable to make it to Bathgate and I
can arrange pick up, please contact me at Claire.Neill@odap.org.uk or 07739296459
Alternatively, West Lothian Councils fantastic E Christmas Card appeal is once again also raising funds for Open Door and Newlands Supported Accommodation in Bathgate. To take part, simply donate some of the money you normally spend on Christmas cards and send an e-card instead. The funds will be used to help make the festive period a little brighter for young people living in supported accommodation, such as providing a small gift or meal. Make a donation at https://mydonate.bt.com/donation/start.ht ml?charity=70256 and tick that you would like a response and the links for the e-cards will be emailed to you with the thank you. Or if you want to simply make a donation you can text ODAP22 and the amount you wish to donate (for example ODAP22 £10) to 70070), Wishing you all a lovely Christmas and best wishes for 2017!
