ITS NOT ALL ABOUT NUTRITION😮 - If you have ever been remotely interested in getting in shape, you will have heard some version of the saying ‘Its all about nutrition’ or ‘Its 80% diet’ etc. 🍏🥦🍗 - Now I am not saying nutrition isn’t a major and vital component into changing your body shape and improving your health, this post is more to address the fact that most of you simply don’t work hard enough.🤷🏽‍♂️... - That majority of people I see in the gym, including many clients simply don’t want to put in the effort when it comes to their training.🥵 - People will give up too easily, not increase the weight when necessary, totally disregard exercise execution all simply because it is difficult to do. Post Session Photo - Currently in a very good state in terms of performance, recovery and the majority of my nutrition.✅ - Sessions are progressing weekly, stronger, more efficient, more intense. CHASING THE BURN IS HOLDING YOU BACK - 🔥Training soley for 'the burn' is a guaranteed way to ensure you are making subpar progress, yes it hurts, you feel it, you sweat. However you are missing one of the main stimulus' that produces growth...Mechanical Tension. - 🤷🏽‍♂️I could tell you to do 1000 star jumps, it would hurt, you would feel it burn, you would sweat but would you think thats going to change your shape? Current Physique Condition - Now all.things business have calmed down I have a better structure, less working ours & more balance. How To Stop Missing Out On Gainz - Alot of gyms are missing certain pieces of kit you may want to use or that is part of your program. So rather than just missing out those exercises and the potential for growth, alter machines and experiment to make it work for you. - This does require some thinking so I have provided 3 alterations in the video above.... - My gym doesn't currently have a lying hamstring curl, which in technical terms means you cant train the fully shortened position of the hamstring (simply - your missing out on some hamstring gainz) so i have attached some ankle cuffs to a cable & lay on a bench. I may look like an idiot, but who will be laughing when I have some awesome hamstrings?🙄 - Hack Squat can have a big difference in difficultly at different points of the range of motion, normally meaning you cannot use as much weight incase you get stuck. Had my last session with Scott at Optimize Coahing today. If you’re looking for a 1-1 PT or even online coaching I can’t recommend this guy enough!

I’ve lost over 6.5kg training with him. He celebrated my wins, encouraged and motivated me through my fails, put up with my constant moans, stupid faces, donut addiction, random questions and nonsensical chat between sets!

He’s also a shit hot PT, really knows his stuff, and is constantly growing his knowledge through research and implementing that in his own, and his clients training.

We ended our final session with me in tears... Because I couldn’t stop laughing! If you train with Scott, it’s always a good giggle, he’s super easy going and wants to get the best out of his clients.
