Old Golf Trolley
Does anyone have wheels for a golf trolley which they no longer require or would be willing to part with for a nominal sum? Asking for a friend who is looking for a pair for a 'project'.
Cheers,
... Colin Harcus

Evening folks, just a wee update on the course, obviously it’s very dry at the moment (36mm in 7 weeks 🙈) so we’re having to hand water greens a lot of the time. We gave the greens a fertilise yesterday to help them recover after renovations, this will hopefully help them through this dry spell, we also applied wetting agent last Friday which will help keep the moisture consistent and aid the water to penetrate into the soil. With it so dry we are holding off on spraying the... fairways for broadleaf weeds, this will only stress the plant out more, we are holding back on some mowing as this will also burn them out. Given it’s early in the season, we’re being very cautious, at the moment our priority is greens so if things are looking a little shabbier than normal, this is the reason. Thanks very much for your patience, it’s making our job just that little bit easier. Can everyone please do their best rain dance 🙏🏻💦🕺🏻💃🏻⛳️ Cheers Chris

Evening folks, this coming Sunday (5th May) afternoon at 2pm sees the greenstaff commence their spring greens renovations, this will involve a double verticut, followed by solid time aeration finished off with a sand topdressing and rub in. We aim to be finished all the work by Monday night (weather pending) this will hopefully allow us to heavy scarify the aprons on Tuesday with the aim being to eradicate some of the Poa annua that has encroached over the past few years. This is necessary work to keep the surfaces you play on in top condition, can I please ask that you are patient so we can perform this work as efficiently as possible. Many thanks Chris Head Greenkeeper

Trolley shed
There has recently appeared on the floor of the trolley shed a number of trolleys. The only trolleys that should be in there are the ones on the allocated hooks.
We are aware that there is a waiting list for these hooks but there is a possibility that some might become available depending on that members re join this year and some of these might be reallocated
... However until such times as this happens we request that all trolleys that are lying on the floor are removed from the trolley shed by Saturday 4th May otherwise they will be removed and put into storage.
Regards
Willie Marwick Captain Orkney Golf Club
