Was walking in Coatdyke and spotted this pub, I've not been around for a while, felt like a pint, wandered in and had the most amazing feeling of deja vu. Did I spell that right? Great pint of Belhaven, fabulously fabulous staff, gorgeous and handsome equally... You know who you are... Janice is the nicest person I have ever met, she almost made me a cup of tea once... great pub, great staff... I know someone who would be very very very proud of how the pub is looking , inside and out... you should all be very proud of yourselves... thanks for my brilliant visit.... Roderick O'Brien💋💋❤️💋❤️

Visited today with my other half. We both had the 2 course lunch menu & it was brill! Great food, great choices & very good priced menu. One of the best steak pies Ive had. Still stuffed 3 hours later ��

Really enjoyed it food was fab great selection of drinks and staff were friendly and attentive . Will definitely be back x

Organised my fiancé’s surprise 30th here. What a fabulous night! Function suite just the right size & staff were fab! Buffet and DJ were taken care of making it a hassle free night. Thanks to the whole team for a great night!

My partner and I had a steak meal and it was absolutely delicious.followed by a dessert.the service was great, and the staff could not do enough to please us.

I would highly recommend in giving it a try.it was well worth the money.

My husband and I popped in for a wee lunch and we were both very impressed. The food was lovely, good portion sizes, freshly made and reasonably priced. Service was excellent too and we didn't have to wait for a table and our food was served quickly. We will definitely go back and highly recommend Owens.

My hubby and I both love Owens food is excellent service. Very good and staff very friendly have never had a bad meal. In it. Recommend to anyone. Oh and also great value

Had my a sons First communion today in the upstairs function suite. Both staff at the bar were excellent a credit to you. Hot buffet was again excellent lots of empty plates. Would recommend Big Owens even for a lunch in the bar. Thanks again �

Always liked Owens, nice atmosphere and nice bar.... And now I know they do wine/steak for 2 for £25 �� We paid £90 for same meal at Grill On The Corner and Owens did it better �

Food was very good . And staff very friendly. And great patients to put up with 9 loud women. Will be back for lunch soon . 👍

I live directly across from yous and the noise coming from your pub tonight is ridiculous. I can understand you have live bands etc but my god, shut your front doors & think of the houses that you are located next to. My house is roasting and I can't even open my windows because I can't hear my TV because if your music. My wee boys been woke up twice already, shocking. Got a good mind to put a formal noise complaint in.

3 times now had a bad experience. It’s now resulted in me having to cancel a large booking I had made as I have absolutely no doubt I’d be let down by the service and food on the day.

It’s a shame really as Owens used to be a brill wee place�

Have been to Owens for food and drink before and couldn't complain, however on tonight's visit I have to say I was disappointed. I asked for a strawberry daiquiri and was told there was no syrup- so ordered 2 different cocktails ( woo woo and a blue lagoon) - and when the blue lagoon came the lemonade used was totally flat. We then asked to see the lunch menu and was told they could not serve chicken coujons / mozzarella sticks / southern chicken wraps. We decided to order nachos (which were lovely) however when we ordered dessert we were told there was no meringue for the Eton mess, ( and Eton mess isn't exactly Eton mess without meringue? ). Due to this, we ordered fudge brownies & vanilla ice cream, and when the waitress brought it out she said there was no vanilla ice cream and had given us chocolate flavour instead.



A poor show to say the least, and very disappointing as it was lovely to be able to sit out in the beer garden and enjoy the sunshine - just a shame the food/drink was a let down.

In on Thursday night. People waiting over an hour for food. One guy working behind the bar, no clean glasses & waiting half an hour to be served at the bar. A beautiful night with a packed beer garden & no staff on?
